Quake: Give this character a close combat action; this character’s damage value becomes 2 and is locked. Make a close combat attack that targets all opposing characters this character can attack with a close combat attack. Each hit character is knocked back 2 squares.
Force Blast: Give this character a power action and roll a d6; a single adjacent opposing character is knocked back from this character a number of squares equal to the result. When this character hits with an attack, you may choose that it generates knock back if it doesn’t already.
To me, Quake's attack portion no longer generates knock back, so I was hoping someone could clarify this and let me know if it is possible for the combo to knock characters back 4 squares; 2 from the damage from the Quake attack generating knockback via Force Blast, and an additional 2 from the hit characters being knocked back in the latter portion of Quake.
Quake says that hit characters are knocked back. It defines the amount, and separates it from the damage taken, but it is still based on the attack. So Quake is already generating knockback. Force Blast will not kick in.
Last part of Force Blast explains why it will not work with Quake.
