1. Can a character with Super Strength holding an object be equipped with a hammer via this resource?

2. Can a character equipped with a hammer be carried?

Resources and Relics are never held. So yes to both.

1. Yes. Holding an object and being equipped with a hammer are two different things. There are no rules that prevent one because of the other.
