BOMB SCIENCE: Bruce Banner can use Energy Explosion. Bruce Banner and adjacent friendly characters deal 1 additional damage to the targets of their attacks while using Energy Explosion, if not already modified by this effect.
How does this work with the new Energy Explosion rules?
Let's say a character with 2 targets, hits a character 2 target damage, would the damage dealt be 3?

If I'm reading this right, you have two targets and a damage value of two. You hit both targets, and assign all of the damage to one target. At this point one target would take three damage and the other would take one damage. Any non-targeted characters adjacent to them (that were also hit) would take damage equal to the printed lightning bolts.

I don't.
There's no guarantee that anyone TAKES any damage. That is simply what the figure is DEALT.
On a serious note, though, with the current wording, I would say that only the figures adjacent to the guy being dealt three would be dealt any splash damage.
While that other guy is DEALT one, he is not ASSIGNED any damage. (Of course, this also makes me question whether or not he'd get the +1.)

I think we have a disagreement here.
I have two targets and 2 damage, and hit both targets rolling a critical hit.
I assign 2 to A and 0 to B, which means A takes 3 and B takes 1. I believe I recall one of your cohorts ruling that characters adjacent to both A and B would take "splash". You're saying no, if I read this right.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
