His power's wording says, "Whenever Blue Beetle would take 3 or more damage, give him an action token and ignore the damage."

Does this mean before or after reducers?
In other words, if he has Toughness and 3 damage is coming his way, do you reduce to 2 damage then check the ability?

Toughness reduces damage dealt.

Taking damage happens after all reducers have been accounted for. So if Toughness reduces damage dealt from 3 to 2, then he would only take 2 damage, so the power would not kick in.

That's what I figured but just wants to be sure since the wording is "take" and not "is dealt".
