That Alpha Strike stills needs to hit. The risk is that she sends her entire team over and doesn't take out enough opposing forces. That leaves her team almost high and dry. No one has mentioned this, but look at those Key words. Brotherhood, robot, mystical, X-Force, some generic theme team abuse may add to the carnage. Yes she's good, but she's not in the realm of Ziran at 300, JL team base, Utility Belt, etc... in terms of broken. One counter off the top of my head is a bunch of Black Kings. Alpha striking helps them.

This *is* Spiral. I like the character and this fig. She's a turtle-stomper. I dislike turtles. Players, not the reptiles. Or the Teenage Mutant Ninjas, they're cool too.

She's a really solid and fun dial for the points...plus she combos incredibly well with Leech :)

So in large point game she is insane. In a 300 point game she only has a supporting cast of 180 points (assuming there are hammers or belts involved.) No doubt she can get any character to alpha strike, but that hit has to be hard (and connect!) or you will be facing down a weakened 300 point army versus your 194 point army.
You get 2 solid attacks against a 300 point army and leave yourself open to just as many (or more!) in retaliation. A few well placed barriers stop this in 300 point games, just like all the other alpha strikes.
On a side note: I am really digging the Mojoverse characters in this set.

Good to see that the same group of people making empty boasts about beating this figure and praising each other for their empty boasts are doing so in the units section as well as the general forums. The lack of understanding that broken =/= unbeatable still appears to be present. I especially love the concept of an army of 165 point Black Kings in a 300 point format. At least people can look forward to HSS bricks using Spiral to mock the "crappy top dial, but better end dial" figures.

Wouldn't have been more accurate (and less broken) if the portals were available to every figure, not only friendly ones? I mean, traditionally a portal does not distinguish between friends and opponents, right? How many times have the heroes crossed a portal created by alien invaders? Fortunately, this figure is expensive enough to avoid some horrible pairings in a 300 points team. I don't want to imagine what would happen in a 600+ points game...

Okay mk 40 Iron man could you go in a straight line and token their team for me thanks or and hobgoblin prime can you run in there pulse wave and token them thanks the rest of the team will be there okay how about we send in unspoken one . . . etc even 53 point grim would plasticize them. Hammer black bolt with 14 attack 4 damage pulse wave yuck.

I've waited 11 yrs for her remade dial, and now that we're finally getting her, I find that I need a rowboat and paddles to stay out of the ocean of tears being cried, because she's supposedly "too good," or "broken". Her dial has powers and stats representative of the character in the books, and a cool ability that COULD be used to pull off some cool game winning strategies, in the right hands, played with the right figs, and assuming the dice rolls go your way. Even if instead of her portal power, she had gotten something like 'she could use phasing and carry 6 or so figs', people would still be complaining, even though she has teleported all of Excalibur in the comics. Being a fan of hers, I don't feel that she's overpowered. But with that being said, what would you rather have, new inovative sp's, traits, vehicles, duos, groovy new game mechanics, and so forth, or do want to see the return of figs like rookie Black Manta from HT and Lex Luthor from Unleashed and so on, figs that were and are nigh unplayable? I want the figures that I spend my $$$ on to be able to do things, not sit on the board and be lame. What some players call 'broken', is actually their sense of denial at the fact that the game is growing, and must continue to grow, or it will wither and die. That is all.

I'm a huge Spiral fan, and this is ridiculous. I think in home games, I'll limit the dimensional portal to 6-8 squares. Boom. Comic accurate and not broken. I wouldn't feel bad about playing her like that.

She's the #1 reason Prime rarity should be dictated by game bending elements, and not just used as a rarity gimmick.

Looking at her trait, it seems like a clause was left off the end of the second sentence.

It's like Bencrawler meets Cosmic Spidey meets the JLATB meets the casts of Glee and Crossfire!

So she drops a portal in your starting area turn 1 sends in her teammates and they do nothing because of First Turn Immunity. If you go first spread out, or pass, to minimize any attackers portaling through, but that would be the same in any first turn of the game without Spiral.
