Solo Adventure and different point value team base question!
OK, so it was always my understanding that if I started a base, let's say Shi'ar, on their blue line @ 300 points w/ characters. If I wanted to Solo Adventure somebody off of the base, they would start on the blue number, correct? Well, what if my base got knocked past the yellow starting line from taking damage, after starting at the blue? My understanding is that you then start the solo adventure with the most recently passed color on the team base dial matching the color of the first click's number of the piece I solo adventure out; if I start on red and get hit past blue but before yellow, I'd come out on blue, and then if I start on blue but get knocked past the yellow line, I would start a figure on a solo adventure on the yellow number on the dial, yes?
I always thought it was that way, but I was playing the other day, and it was ruled, and a couple other people I actually kind of trust to know the rules were saying this too, which is that no matter what, if you start on the red or blue starting line, you can be on the last click of the TB and still come out on the click that corresponds to the color the TB started on, not the color they're currently on.
Please tell me I'm not crazy for having interpreted the rule this way! If I am though, it's perfectly alright, I'll live with the shame .
Solo Adventure - Give this character a power action, remove any team member from the team and insert it into its SwitchClix base. The character is placed adjacent to the team on its SwitchClix base turned to the first click number color that matches the team’s current click color. If removing the team member from the team would mean that the total point value of removed team members exceeds the point value of the team, then the team member can’t be removed. When a removed character has multiple starting lines, its point value and starting line are considered to be the first starting line other than an orange starting line preceding the click it is on when placed on the map.”
If your team base is in red, you click to red. If your team base is in Blue, you click to Blue, if your team base is yellow, you click to yellow. The relevant bit is up there in bold, I believe.
They are wrong. When you use solo adventure you check the color of the clicknumber on the team base. Then you click the dial on the solo adventure characters switchclix base to the first clicknumber with a matching color.
Thanks guys. I was about to e-mail the jerk that straight cheated in more than just that way (he was popping off more points than his base but I didn't see it for another turn and a half cause it was just like 17 over the 300 of his base or so, and he wouldn't even entertain the thought of at least taking the damage back and putting him on the base or anything, which is ####ed, because I've played him a few times and once I overbuilt by grabbing the wrong -zarro piece just because that was in my head so I could've picked up whichever I saw first, and he scrupulously counted my team's points (he was more points but much worse on my team), and when he said somethnig I was so embarrassed and immediately offered to forfeit, etc.... He's the type of player that takes his wins where he can get them. Oh, you didn't bring a card for every item on your UB, "JUDGE! DQ!" I really wanted to e-mail him but he can just live with his obese self and have to deal with that his whole life :P
Thanks everybody!
