When the point values differ between the replaced character and the replacing character your opponent will score the higher point value.
Pg 6 in 2013 Rulebook When one or more characters replace a character that began the game on your force, and all replacement character(s) are KO’d, award victory points equal to the point value of the replaced character that began the game on your force, unless the value of the replacement character(s) is higher

Awesome. Saving this. Thanks. Was short-changed at a tourney bc everyone argued you score the points you KO. And, in my case, with the MAJOR point difference between The Worthy, and sometimes Mighty, and their reversion options, it didnt seem fair.
I found this thread looking for a completely different subject, but I was at an event where I KOed a 'promoted' (008 from Thor: the Dark World) Kurse and was not awarded the 250 points for Kurse.
Is there some subtlety that gives only 125 points (the original Algrim) for KOing a 'promoted' Kurse?
Yes, that was not a promotion mechanic, that was the alter ego mechanic. Nurse even had an orange 125 point cost printed on his base.
The Kurse I was playing against did not have an orange 125-point cost on his base (or card), nor does the Kurse I have in my collection....which is why I didn't see it as an alter-ego (despite the name of Algrim's power). There are other examples of alter-ego's having different point values.
I don't own Kurse, so I am not too familiar with him.
I remember reading all about how he has a special orange starting line, and in the past orange starting lines have always meant alter ego. After checking the units section, it looks like the power is "battlefield promotion" and not "alter ego", AND you clarifying he has no orange point cost (I would have assumed he did), I guess it actually makes more sense for you to get 250 points for that KO and not 125.
Sorry, wild dials are often hard to correctly interpret if you can't look at them in hand.

The only reason I can think of for scoring the full points is that youre potentially getting Algrim's full dial, plus the 5 clicks(2 for Countdown) of Kurse's. So you have to widdle through a 125pts, then potentially have to wait while he swaps out, not being able to target the replacement for 2 turns(which can be brutal), then deal with 3 clicks of pretty mean stuff lol
yea..I would say that's worth 250 Very unique mechanic and nice combo of the AE and BFP.
I own him but haven't used or faced him yet. Really been waiting..
