So here is the power: Fist SlamPiledriver can use Quake. When he does, if he's holding an object, his damage becomes 3 and is locked instead of 2 and then remove that object from the game.
Quake: Give this Character a close combat action; this character's damage values becomes 2 and is locked. Make a Close combat attack that targets all opposing characters this character can attack with a close combat attack. Each hit character is knocked back 2 squares.
So the questions are:
1. Since his damage from Fist Slam increases to three does the knock back also increase?
2. I he's holding a a hammer from BOS would this allow the Slam to work as well?
3. Since a Relic is considered an object that cannot be destroyed if he is holding any kind of relic, does his slam just continue to go off?
Thanks guys I was certainly looking at how the hammer allows the use of quake when it's dropped in a characters square… seemed like a good idea.. but better to find out not the best strategy now then find out when I'm playing.

Actually, Piledriver (or any other character that can use Quake) can't even use the free Quake from the hammer drop because of this line in the Player's Guide:
Game effects which grant the use or possession of another game effect have no effect if the recipient can already use the new effect.
