Matter Rearranger
When this character has no action tokens, give it a free action, and choose a square of blocking, hindering, water, or clear terrain within range and line of fire. You may replace that square with one of the other three types listed.

Ring Selection - At the beginning of your turn, you may choose a Ring, remove it from the Power Plant and place it on a friendly character's card. That character can use that Ring's effects as if it were a relic. When that character clears, return any Rings on its character card onto the Power Plant.
Just wanna double check.
If you change a square to blocking then later in the game that character clears, would the Matter Rearranger's effect end and return the terrain to normal because of the quote below?

Game effects remain a part of the game only as long as the character continues to possess the power or ability. If a power or ability is countered or lost, all game effects of that power or ability immediately end, but any actions already in progress are resolved normally. Tokens that are placed on characters or character cards for any reason are not considered a game effect. If ignoring a game effect would cause a situation where that game effect would not be ignored, then you do not ignore that game effect.

The MRA Ring is replacing the terrain type. Since it is not creating an ongoing effect the terrain will stay even if the Ring's ability is lost.
