Legion Founder: At the beginning of the game, place a Founder token on the character card of each character that can use this team ability. When a character with the Legion of Super Heroes keyword makes an attack and after all rerolls, you may removed Founder tokens to increase the attack roll by 1 for each removed token. (3 Points)
My question is about how the tokens start off on the card, do you place 1 founder token for each character that has the AtA? So, if I have Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl. I would put 3 tokens on each of their cards
Or is it just saying you get 1 token period, and that goes on everyones card?
I am not always the best at understanding the wording of some of these things

1 token on each card. The reason they put 1 on each member rather than a total based on the number of members on the ATA card itself (like White Lantern ATA) is because if a member is KOed before using their token, it's gone.
Bumping this thread to ask a question about the ATA.
From the rule book:
Quote
A character that possesses a wild card team ability is called a “wild card.” Although wild cards can use team abilities, they do not possess the copied team ability nor do they possess the team symbol. Certain game effects only apply to characters that possess a particular team ability or symbol – wild cards would not qualify for these through using another character’s team ability.
So the Legion Founder ATA states that you put a token on each card of a character that can use this team ability, not possesses the team ability. So the way I understand this is that wild cards get to place a token on their card as well since they are able to copy the ATA, correct?

No. Wild Cards aren't using the ATA during the beginning of the game.

Gotcha. I think Wizkids should have worded it as "possesses this team ability" or made it uncopyable to avoid any confusion. Thanks Billy Dee. May the Colt 45 be with you.

WizKids is awful with wording but in this case they did it CORRECTLY. Here's why - We may get (or already have) figures that CAN use/copy TA's before the game starts. Something similar to DC10 Nightwing and Gandalf. A regular Wildcard cannot because it is a Free Action to copy a TA and that a Free Action cannot currently be done before that players 1st turn. But again that doesn't mean we won't have a figure in the future that is different and can USE before the game begins.
