Okay, question. Can you carry someone with sidestep, or would the two movement and the -2 from carrying cancel out?

Yes and Yes. Sidestep has a locked value, so the -2 doesn't modify it. Deadpool can carry Dogpool with a normal Move action (at his full speed value) as well.

This is one of the things that makes Side Step so fun.

Yep. Get a flier with Sidestep, and someone who can be carried that has Sidestep. Turn 1 Sidestep carry (place the carried guy in the next square out), carried guy now Sidesteps and boom, he's 5 away from the starting area ready for the free action hammer drop since its still the beginning of the turn.

ANd then you're ready for crotch punching!
