The wording on these traits simply states that "When [Zombie Character] damages an opposing character" you dish out virus tokens and get food tokens. It does not state specifically that it must be damage "from an attack", like the wording for Mystics. So, how would it be ruled for the following scenarios?

Hypothetical: Dr. Doom wildcards to Mystics and takes damage from an opposing character. That character is dealt unavoidable Mystics damage. Does this Mystics damage activate the Zombie Hunger or Zombie Infection traits?

Hypothetical: Dr. Doom has penetrating poison (as given by the Red Lantern Ring) and damages an opposing character with it. Are the Hunger or Infection traits triggered by this poison damage?
