Outsiders and Energy Shield

If a character with Outsiders team ability and chooses a character with ES with the free action. That chosen character doesn't get the +2 for ranged attacks, right?

OUTSIDERS Give a character using the Outsiders team ability a free
action to choose a character (including itself) within 10 squares and line of
fire. Until the beginning of your nex turn, the chosen character’s combat
values can’t be modified. Uncopyable.

This is correct. The Outsiders TA has an absolute plethora of uses like the one mentioned.

Correct. ES/D is a modifier and Outsiders prevents that. Keep in mind it prevents positive or negative modifiers.
