Need help rounding out a 200 point team for tonight...
Hello, all.
Just got home from work. Checked my email and the guys wanna do a 200 point game tonight before the big games this weekend.
The rules for tonight are:
1.) 200 point Build Total
2.) Theme-teamed based
3.) Figures allowed are from Infinity Challenge to Origin
4.) No ATAs, BFCs, FEATs, or Objects
5.) 4' x 8' Tabletop Battlefield
6.) 10 Round Time Limit
My objective is to rescue Magneto. So here are a few teams I can throw together:
unfortunately i cannot help you with this team, because i don't know mutch about figures that are older than the old avangers-set, but i'm really curios about these objectives you always mention:
what means "My objective is to rescue Magneto" exactly?
i think it could be fun for our venue to play also with objectives...
For team 3 I would add R Shadowcat (Xplosion). 28 points exactly and since it's the Rookie, you could argue it's her "time displaced" personality ala 'Days of Future Past'.
Not a GREAT use of 28 points, but it sort-of fits your theme. Bonus is that she's an X-Man that might want to free Magneto for some future-related reason!
...you're welcome... :D
Losers of the "The Floor Is Lava" game:
GI Colossal Boy - FI Thor - TV Robin - WoL Red Lantern Recruit
200 on the nose for an Exiles theme-team. Bouncing throughout time and space is right up their alley, and saving "Magneto" is exactly the kind of wacky adventure they'd have to suffer through.

Great suggestions, all of you. Keep 'em comin'. I got till 7pm tonight.

The objectives we usually play involve an opposing force guarding a goal if some type. In this case, Magneto has been captured and he is being guarded by an opposing force. My team has to break him out and exit my opposite startng side of the map in the time limit specified (in this case, 10 Rounds).
I figured Magick would be a good way to round out the team with a full dial of Phasing, a starting click of B/C/F, and 2 clicks of ES/D, along with a Range of 6 to match the other 3.
The other 2 players ran the 2 other teams I initially posted: Freedom Force and The Marauders.
My objective was to rescue Magneto (Unique; Ultimates) from Mystique's Freedom Force, consisting of:
Mystique's team had captured Magneto and had to exit the opposite side of the table from where they started.
There was also a 3rd team involved, The Marauders, sent to kill Magneto. All they had to do was come into base contact with Magneto and make a successful Close Combat Action to achieve their objective. They consisted of:
Well...the dice rolls didn't go my way. It came down to Magick (whom everyone ignored) defending Magneto from Sabretooth and Spiral. She didn't last long. Spiral devastated her with 2 Critical Hits, then proceeded to slice Sabretooth into ribbons by rolling 12 for her Flurry attack with B/C/F.
It was a fun game, though, and I'd do it again tomorrow. Only with a different team...
