A few questions that came up with some new Flash pieces.
For Girder he has a special damage power:
TEAR DOWN THE WALLS: Girder can use Improved Movement: Ignores blocking terrain and destroys blocking terrain as the character moves through it. When Girder destroys blocking terrain, if he isn't holding an object, you may give him a standard light object from outside the game.
From what I understand you can pick up and also drop objects while moving if you have super strength. So can Girder move into a square of blocking terrain gain a light object. drop it as he moves into the next square, get a new one, and repeat this process for every square of blocking he moves through?
And then Tarpit:
LIVING ASPHALT: Tar Pit can use Plasticity. When Tar Pit is given a move action, place Tar markers into the squares that Tar Pit has moved through. Other characters that enter a square with a Tar marker must immediately end their movement. At the beginning of your turn, remove all Tar markers placed by this character.
What happens when you outwit this power but he has already placed Tar markers during the previous turn? I assume the markers would stay but would they have any effect while the power is outwitted since the power is what gives them their effect?
SUPER STRENGTH
When this character moves due to its own action, it may
either pick up an object or place an object it is holding. The object must be picked up
from or placed in either a square the character occupies or an adjacent square. If this
power is lost or countered while this character is holding an object, immediately place
the object in the square this character occupies.
The way it is worded I think it might work. Unless the ruling is that since you are only "moving due to your own action" once you can only drop or pick up once.
At the very least you should be able to get 2 items from this.
Move
Break wall get item
drop item
break wall get second item
can't drop second item because you already used your drop for the move.
Hmm... I remember a ruling saying that you couldn't use HSS to pick up an object that isn't destroyed with an attack, attack a character with it and then pick it up again.
EDIT: But since Girder's power isn't actually picking up the object, it's just given to him, so DarthUr's understanding of the things seems to be correct.
If Tarpit's power is countered, the tokens will go away. Just like any other tokens placed by any power with a duration.

Does this mean I could drop an object I'm already holding in the middle of my movement (similar to how I'd pick one up)?

You may pick up OR drop an object while moving. You are unable to do both. However, it sounds like you can circumvent this via Girder's power because it says "you may give him a standard light object." So at no point is he picking one up.
