I still don't understand why they can print out what team abilities do on Movie Set cards but don't do it for other sets.

*EVERY Character Card, for a fig with a Team Ability. Not just some.
This could have been a solution a few years back, but not now. With multiple traits and bloated special powers, there's not room to put TAs on every character card. Heck, Goliath's preview shows they don't even have room for Real Names.
There's also the issue of whether they augment any of the team abilities again. You'd have tons of character cards with incorrect TA information.

I think the best answer would be to say on the PAC where to go (HeroClix.com) to download the Team Abilities.
The rulebook p. 19 references wildcards as Team Abilities. As a new player who actually took the time to read the rulebook, I could see how that could be a puzzle.

And I think that the best answer is to include the info in starters and to also provide the website info for viewing/downloading the rules, PAC, and TAs online.
While I would prefer a larger PAC style card, two-sided or folded and four-sided as needed for the TAs, the Star Trek Away team gave us a simple character card-sized card, and they could include as many of those as needed with a TA or two on each side until they were all covered.
For indy sets certainly the character card method should be fine, as they would only need to cover the small amount of teams included in those sets.
I guess it's you I can thank for deleting my post where I explained myself.
Yup. I figured explanation about "a-holes" and such was best left deleted with the other things that started crossing the line which caused that post. A response post to a post that doesn't exist seems like a silly waste of time.
Is that problematic?

Yet the team abilities card associated with countless starter sets, and the stuff available online do outline all this information.
I'm not saying wizkids is great at documentation or keeping things up to date.. as they aren't.. But I'm uncertain what better way to START understanding the game than picking up a starter set with rules and then going to see how they changed in other places.
The Op's post doesn't really explain his level of skill.
After further reading it appears that OP picked up a random piece with a card and has no idea how the game works/is played outside of the very basics of the stats perhaps. (hence Chessman's response to how you can look up members of certain teams that are wild cards).
Reading the instructions (unless I'm wrong and it's changed as I haven't picked up any of the recent starter sets) the instructions (at least listed on the heroclix site) says:
TEAM ABILITIES
Team abilities are special abilities a character can
use due to its alliance with a team or an affiliated
group. When a character’s base includes a team
symbol, it indicates the character possesses the
team ability, as described on the team abilities
card for that universe. Characters may have
more than one team symbol on their base; this
grants the possession of multiple team abilities.
Characters can also possess team abilities
through special powers or trait abilities or trait
abilities or Additional Team Abilities cards (see p.
23). Unless specified otherwise, these granted
team abilities do not replace the symbols or team
abilities currently possessed by the character.
Which then would, I'd think prompt one to seek out the team ability card for marvel and dc (and whatever other types of clix you play) to determine what these little team ability symbols do... Simply to get a core understanding of the game.. so at the fault of not taking time to read the rules and not really clearly wording the question we are where we are here..
Also FWIW.. the 2014 rule book also talks about wild cars immediately following the part about team abilities:
WILD CARDS
Wild card team abilities allow a character to use any
team ability possessed by any friendly character
on the battlefield. A character that possesses
a wild card team ability is called a “wild card.”
Although wild cards can use team abilities, they do
not possess the copied team ability nor do they
possess the team symbol. Certain game effects
only apply to characters that possess a particular
team ability or symbol – wild cards would not
qualify for these through using another character’s
team ability. Some team abilities are labeled as
“Uncopyable.” A wild card character can’t use an
uncopyable team ability from another character.
A wild card may be given a free action to use
a single team ability that a friendly character
possesses. A wild card may be given this
free action more than once per turn (this is an
exception to the rule that characters can’t activate
the same free action more than once per turn).
A wild card begins the game not using any
other character’s team ability. A wild card may
change the team ability it is using to any team
ability possessed by a friendly character (or no
team ability) with each free action it is given.
A wild card retains its most recently used team
ability until it is given a free action to use another
team ability (or choose no team ability) or until after
the resolution of an action during which all friendly
characters whose team ability the wild card is
using are defeated or removed from the battlefield.
If a copied team ability includes a “once per turn”
or “once per game” clause, a wild card follows
that clause each time it uses the team ability as
if it were using it consistently the entire game. A
wild card activating Pulse Wave can continue to
use a copied team ability even if the team abilities
of the friendly characters are being ignored.

So I was reading over this thread, and decided to do a little digging into this issue.
First, let me add my name to the list of those who miss the PAC/TA list combo. It was really convenient. I tried making my own one-sheet list, but it didn't work out.
Second, and this is not a knock against anybody, but my research into where to find a list of TA's lasted less than five minutes. I downloaded the 2014 Rule Book pdf and did a search for "team abilities" (minus the quotes). Page 19 tells you all about TA's and what a wild card is and does. But page 17 has a bullet point:
Quote
Team abilities are indicated by a team symbol on the base of the character. They are explained on the team abilities card for that specific universe, which can be printed out at www.heroclix.com.
Even if I were new, I would see the white text on that website that says "DOWNLOADS" at the top of the page, click it, and go from there.
Would it be a huge improvement if they included a TA list with each universe's respective starter? Absolutely! It would save everybody time and ink/toner. But until they do, this is our only recourse.
Again, not a knock against anybody, but it seems like folks are making this out to be a much bigger issue than it actually is. Or maybe that's just me.

I did not realize that this was in the rulebook. That helps. Still isn't as good as having those rules included in the starter itself, but it's way better than what I thought they had.
And I think that the best answer is to include the info in starters and to also provide the website info for viewing/downloading the rules, PAC, and TAs online.
I think its unlikely they print the TAs on the PACs. They would have to go back to two printings. One for Marvel and one for DC which I believe is the reason we have generic rules and generic PACs to begin with.
Marvel and DC are never going to approve their logos on the same PAC if one is higher or before the other.

Cus that answers his question how? Might I suggest understanding the question before posting snide remarks?
It's only a snide remark if you choose to read it in that tone. What it actually is is a good piece of advice...
The instructions, as I pointed out later, disclose team symbols and talk about certain team symbols which denote wild cards (see universes team card or however the wording in the instructions go).
Which could have simplified this to "where can I find xyz of a thing."
Instead someone wants to learn how to play the game without taking the time to read the rules first which typically doesn't work out so well and then leads to confusing threads and posts like the above posts pointing to the units section to show ALL the wild card characters that were made.
So in short... You probably should start questioning things after you've read the instructions. Otherwise you don't really know what you're asking (and people trying to reply don't really either).

Hey, speaking of giving a good piece of advice, Ebontail, it's not generally a good idea to not only argue with, but to pick a fight with any member who has the word "Administrator" over his username.
Maybe we could drop this back and forth (or bring it to PM if you want the bigger possibility of getting your account restricted)?
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
