...try it while your team is pushed.....had to wait 3 turns. My opponent rolled the d20 where I couldn't remove tokens, then next turn rolled a 6, so he didn't have to change his choice of his d20 roll. Then I had to clear. If Felix is on your opponents team, make him your number 1 target!
If he rolled that power and used it he MUST re-roll even if he rolled a 6.
But even then this guys stupid, should have never made it pass play testing.
Welp looks like Copycat is going to casting some spells
Hahaha, YES, so true. Well played.
Seriously, this guy sucks. As in: he makes the whole game worse. Glad he's at least partially banned. Now, if only we could get the same ruling for entities, resources, team bases, and vehicles. :P

..... yes and why not ban all figures with over 3 damage, or over 17 def, or over 11 attack and every non starburst size figure while were at it ?
That is utterly ridiculous. Im sorry im fed up people whining about every new figure instead of just playing the game and coming up with a tactic to beat it. I can understand in friendlies but in competitive play where you encounter this stuff you should be good enough to play around it. If something is competitive you should take it into account in team construction and build around it. Off the top of my head, copycat kills him, and alpha strike team kills him (say PF weaponer batmite-with the tk frag). way of slowing it down orange battery, immortus, your own faust. and thats just 300 modern. i could go on and on.
Banning every thing that gives you difficult is not a good thing. i lost to the same figures week in week out when i started to play. Now id like to think im fairly good at the game. but i didnt get better with a negative attitude like that. I can only assume your talking about competitive play as you dont ban in friendlies. So the solution for you would be simply not to bother. with an attitude like that a competitive game isnt for you, you wont find it fun there always gonna be miniatures better than others and the solution isnt to ban them.

Hm. Oddly enough, I play mostly friendly matches. Battle royales, even. But we abide by the updated figure rulings. I don't really care about the competitive meta game, nor was I really thinking about it when I posted. I was talking about the game itself's balance. You know, as a game. These figures, along with many of the new mechanics that have been tried recently, tend to allow for "super-builds" that make the game less fun (to me, and my ilk). Thus, worse game.
The core of the game- a tactical simulation of what would happen when Batman and Wolverine got mad at one another - is so, so solid. I love it. And I understand that the game has to evolve in order to live. I guess I was just grimly laughing to myself over game balance missteps that have happened in due course, and decided to cast that out onto the Internet.
The problem with this kind of figure is that theoretically he can cause an opponent to NEVER take an action. I lost to a Felix Faust team and I was only able to make one attack. Now, this was not lack of planning or strategy on my part. I was fully aware of what this character can do. But if the player using Faust gets some lucky rolls (with the help of PC) he can completely take the game away from how it is supposed to be played. I was literally stuck in the same squares for 40 minutes. It's not fun. It's not strategy. It's not how the game should be played. I even bought one, and now I feel bad for owning him let alone playing him.
Doctor Strange on the other hand is fun to play with and against. He is what Faust should've been more like.
Please tell me he only gets improved targeting through the D20 like Dr. Strange does?
Nope, it's in effect all the time.
I finally used him in a game. I admit my d20 rolls were fortunate, but really there aren't many times when anything that comes up on the d20 wouldn't be useful. I'm all for reasonable changes to him via the watchlist, as I want to use him without feeling like too much of a jerk.

An attacker targeting multiple figures should have to declare damage dealt to each target before making their attack roll. It just makes sense.

Wow, so he's better than Dr. Strange AND half the points.
So much fear and whining. This guy can be taken out with one hit. There are multiple ways to prevent probability control such as Constantine or Immortus. There is nothing wrong with this figure. It's a new mechanic and everybody complains and fears change.

Well said! I wish players would just use a bit of strategy in this STRATEGIC game! They have no problem using broken figures and combinations but when something comes along and stops them they complain.
Except...Ya know...In a competitive match, if the judge and players are playing by the RULES, you are NOT allowed to show your teams beforehand. So please, Department H/InfinityWatchReturns and nyder, please explain how you can prepare for everything uber tactic in the game if you can't see your opponents forces beforehand...? Answer: It's impossible. Granted, some people whine and complain, but many post valid responses about how stupid powerful Faust is, pointswise. Yes, it's annoying when people post irrationally about him, and do not offer an intelligent nerf to Faust, but you both saying "plays moarz bettEERRR" is not a good response.
"Our mother has been absent ever since we founded Rome; but there's gonna be a party when the wolf comes home."
And for the record, Faust is CLEARLY under costed. Period. Anyone who doesn't see that is looking through rose colored glasses. IMO, A simple change to Faust would be to not allow D20's to be re-rolled by any D20 figure ever, to prevent future catastrophes. Boom, fixed.

If your playing in a competitive tournament you should have idea of what are the most competitive teams are at the time and be able to plan for them its dosnt take long to google whats meta for this game or another. thats how you prepare for what there gonna be playing. for example i went to the uk nationals. no i didnt see what id be playing before hand but i had a good idea of what would be played and nothing really through me off. If everyone there didnt have a clue what the others would be playing then i ask why did so many sideboards include alpha primitives. They merely state you should adapt to the meta not moan about it at. the fact is due to this moaning he wasnt intelligently nerfed but made unplayable outside of casual friendlies. like you said not been able to reroll the d20 was a good way to cut back some of his power while giving it the chance to remain relevant. hell even making his specials you can only use x action effect units with range would of been good and may of prompted some interesting strategies to make that work but what they did combined with the massive nerf to mystical trap (once again while it could of had added when all friendly chars are trapped release them. instead they made its targeting so specific its use in niche at best) that hes now he not relevant at all.
