I was participating in the day phases. Rorschach hammering Quebbs, who was mafia, would have made him look good, and he would have drawn less attention the next night.

Of course, playing the hindsight game, we've already covered how Rorschach controlled a majority of votes that day and could have lynched anyone.

You know why that seems way out of line to you? Because it is and after a decade of interaction I'm blown away you would think I would cheat like that.

Here's what happened Mr "Lord High Morality":

TBB posted in the game he was going to be gone for the day to raise money and asked us to pitch in to help. (And do you know how many damned times I've given money to help people here? Not exactly a new thing for me to suddenly do to win a game). Being I had already pegged him as Mafia, I jokingly posted that, yeah, all he had to do was post his -role PM- (not tell us who he was but go get himself modkilled which is obviously teasing). Being he didn't do that I called him a welcher (as I donated as planned anyway). The closest that got to being serious is a matter that TBB and I discussed after game and cleared up but nothing to do with what you're saying.

You didn't just miss a page. You missed entirely who we are as people.

Poor mich masoned with two mafia players...

I read it on the proboards and that made me laugh.

In terms of full disclosure, I targeted Jack N1 out of principle.

There you go making this a personal integrity issue, again. Joe, you know we're pals. You know I know you're a generous guy would would have donated no matter what and I said as much. I think the world of you on a personal level.

You're also aware that we have different opinions on the rules. There are things that I consider to be against the rules that you do not. Rules on other mafia forums have been changed because you've done things that are not against the rules but would have been if they had thought of it.

So me saying "Rokk did a thing that I consider to be cheating" is not a personal attack against you. We disagree on the definition. You know there are things that you would have no problem at all doing that I consider to be against the rules.




To be clear, I will say this again. I do not think anyone maliciously cheated or acted without integrity. I merely believe rules were broken. I also believe that certain rules being broken should result in modkill. A modkill is not a personal condemnation. It is a harsh action designed to deter rule breaking, like marking a frame zero in bowling if you step over the line.

Since both you and TBB took this as given when it was discussed later, it appeared to me that this discussion took place out of thread. I admited in the post you quoted that I may have missed this communication and it seems I did. My bad.



Your post asking for TBB's pm seemed to be joking. I knew that donation wasn't contingent on anything from TBB. I knew you wouldn't consider him a welsher.

Did TBB know that? He seemed to take it rather seriously and the outcome of the game changed because of it.

Would he have claimed mafia without you asking for his role pm? Probably not. Would everyone else have believed he was mafia if he hadn't claimed mafia? Maybe. It looked like you were having some issues convincing Space Jawa you were town even though TBB claimed mafia. I'm thinking things would have gone the other way without that request, even though it was a joke.

Would I have modkilled you over it, knowing the request was made in the game thread? No.

I absolutely would have outted myself regardless of his joking request. My reply to him when I claimed was equally joking.

I outted myself because I didn't have time to drum up fake actions or defend myself. For whatever reason, the town thought there was only one mafia left, when there was actually three. So I thought claiming would be the best way to turn attention to the cult, and it was. If Rokk's kill wasn't unblockable, the next day would have had 3 mafia and two town. At the time, I thought I only needed a phase to get a win for the mafia, and claiming seemed like the best way to get it.

Well my mistake, then.

Speaking of personal, no, I don't think I made a "jump" on this one being you outright said you felt four people had been discussing off-thread and postulated I would go so far as to PM TBB. That falls under accusation'ish levels.

TBB's action had more to do with SJ's being bummed, from what I read.


You're a good guy and I hope we make peace but I can't believe that post.

Dang Jack. I'm just stunned. You don't get to accuse him of cheating in a way that would have been, in my opinion far, far worse than whining in another game about an ongoing game and then tell him he's doing it again and making it personal. That was about as personal an attack on someone's integrity as you could get.

I was utterly dismayed when I saw what you accused him of.

Leave the emotions at the door. That means every player in this game that reacted as strongly as they did. It's a game. Get in it, backstab eachother, lie to eachother and win. But then shake hands and remember we're all friends.
