The trait is Shifting Focus Superman so you can only replace him with another fig with the Shifting Focus Superman trait... Batman has Shifting Focus Batman so he can only be replaced by figs with that trait... note the name's in the trait so you could not switch supes for bats or vice versa...
I played against the figure 3 three times over the weekend and this figure is scary good. The shifting focus is good; but split and merge scary good. Just need a great Batman...Let me think???
In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!!!
I like the unique design of this figure, but wish that he had some form of move and attack (Charge, HSS), since Sidestep is situationally useful in that regard. Yes, SF could be used to switch into "Flash" or "Smash" mode, but this Superman is very accurate in terms of his durability and support features.
seriously why didn't wizkids come up with this switching focus idea before and give it to ultra boy being able to use only one power at a time is a defining characteristict[and what keep's him from being the legion's most powerfull member insense he has no weaknesses other wise].
I dont' know what will become of this game in like 2 years from now since now there is a 90 point figure with a 19 defense (and solid values and options, unlike Molly Hayes) and a 60 point figure with a 12 attack. Not to mention the chases.
@kurokatana Superman is actually balanced by his inability to do little more than sit around and defend people and take hit. His attacking capabilities flounder really badly after he takes even a couple small hits, so I see him as well worth the high defensive number he's sporting top dial. I don't know what that Batman's excuse his. His dial is well beyond a 60 point dial.
Start with 002 "faster than a speeding bullet" to get the first hit with hypersonic, then switch to this guy to stay well defended. That sidestep is great to get into position for the "more powerful than a locomotive" uncommon beatstick, and his amazing smash and grab object ridiculousness.
Subzero829's Dial contest month 1 winner!

World's Finest brings in a whole new level of Power Creep with this guy! Wowzers , somebody really wanted a completely overpowered 'I own the metagame' common Supes over at Wizkids huh? right on! at least its superman and not some dude I'd never hear of. I guess Nighthawk prime/agent 13 slows him down a little (in resource heavy environment), but still.. why is this guy not have a silver little circle around him so his modifier didn't stack is beyond me. The bright side is that in competitive MTG, in modern or standard it costs a good $300 for one deck.. Here just put 2 or3 of these guys together, at the grand cost of $3.00 tops ($15 or so for 3 of each shifting) and one can probably do fairly good against a lot of competitive teams. the trick is adding Justice League ATA for +1 defense. Sitting on a 22 defense isn't bad I hear

You're paying dang near all 90 points for that top click. Don't let any of your Supermanses push onto click 2; it's all downhill from there (until you hit click 4 on the rare Heat Beam Eye Blast Supes). All due respect to UncorkedMonk, though, I prefer to start with this one, creep up incrementally with Sidestep until I've closed the gap enough for a quick hit and run with 002. You can get a startling amount of work done with jut the common Shifting Focus figures in this set. I appreciate that.
