The TMNT keyword seems a little redundant to me with the TMNT Ally. I get that the TMNT keyword is specifically for the Turtles (and maybe spliter) themselves, but if they all end up with the TMNT Ally keyword as well, then it doesn't do much. It's kind of like in Star Trek Heroclix when all of the Vulcan ships wound up with the Federation keyword as well. It made the Vulcan keyword redundant. The only other reason for it is if they TMNT keyword worked with an ATA, but I don't feel like that'll be the case since we didn't get a standard TA, and there was no point modifier for an ATA like with the Wonders of the World. I guess we'll end up seeing, but it's another little nitpick along with the lack of stealth or any kind of improved movement.
Yeah, me too. I'm relieved they're not bloated fanboy dials.
I know some guys are disappointed in no stealth, and I agree that it fits, but maybe there will be room for some trench coat versions of the turtles in the future? They can hang out with my M10 Thing.
"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."
First, why does he have no range? They throw ninja stars and Raph especially throws his sais. 3 or 4 would've been solid.
Secondly, why do they not have a TA? A nice turtle shell that acts like the Batman Ally TA. How hard would that have been?
Thirdly, They should have improved movement of some kind to ignore elevation or at least to ignore hindering and or water.
Seriously, no TEEN keyword?
Same amount of clicks, 75 points...boom.
As a fan boy I just feel like they only get one chance to get these right and so far, they've blown it with some of these oversights.
Whoa, whoa whoa. Slow down, dude!
Firstly, we haven't seen every iteration of Raph yet (let alone the other turtles), so maybe some of your concerns will be resolved later. I hope they do give Raph some range, stealth, IM, etc. but these, especially the 50pt one, are great figs. They haven't "blown it" by a long shot.
Secondly, it is strange that Whizkids fell in love with 50pts, but I don't mind cheap good figs (the rogues have maybe 5 figs that are 100pts plus, and they're still super-playable).
Third, we've seen a drastic move away from improved movement recently, which I think is good for game balance on the whole. As such, while I would like to see at least swim on the turtles, I can understand them not doing that. (that being said, see my first point--we haven't seen all versions of everyone yet).
Lastly, I'm also glad they don't feel like they have to give every fig every possible power they ever had. I don't want Raph to always cost 125+pts. 50pt raph is more of a rookie raph--not at the top of his ninja game (no stealth, no improved movement, etc.), but still a mean green turtle machine that can eat a swarm of ninjas as fast as Mikey can down a pizza. The fan-boy in me is strapping on his bandanna and counting down the days till the set drops.
So, for 50 points, old school Ralph can Charge 4 squares, attack someone for 2 penetrating damage and an 11 attack on the fifth square, teleport to the 6th square, and then hit another character on the 7th square for another 2 penetrating?
I'm sad at how low their point values are (at least make them 75), but that's a lot of kickass for 50 points.
I'm a little annoyed that neither Ralph has Stealth at any point though. I know he's a bruiser, but they're all ninjas, and they regularly sneak in and out of places and then commence with the bruising.
I don't think it works quite that way. I thought the same until I read what the designer said then I went back and reread it. It says after the action resolves so both attacks have to happen first right? But only one of them needs to hit at least.
As others have said not everything I can think of to be put on there but awesome for the points.

Yeah, I read that afterwards. I liked my way a little better, but this makes more sense, and is probably less game breaking for a 50 point character.
