Is this possible, since the rule book says that a carried character may not be given an action until the start of the next turn?
I think it is, because if you perform an action with a grounded fig, then decide to carry him later (as long he is adjacent to the flying character), then the grounded fig cannot take an action after being carried because he already acted this turn.
So the question really is: Does the rule mean that the grounded character cannot be given an action only AFTER the carrying move action, or does it apply to before the flyer's move action as well?
Yeah, I call it jetlag because it fits... you don't get jetlag BEFORE you get on a plane do you?
So yes a person may shoot/attack/whatever and then be carried away. I have a team that pairs Saturn Girl and Deathstroke together... He can shoot and then she can carry him. Best of all them paired together gives you a stealthed mobile outwitting perplexing machine. Especially good when he has used his two actions with willpower and then she can get him out of Dodge (as it were) so he won't get based while he needs his time to clear.
Left Wing?
Right Wing?
Doesn't the eagle need both to fly?
Great job Supes, now you have explained it. In reality, unlike the comics, when Super Heroes, or Villains are flown by other Heroes, or Villains, the get woozie, and just need a while to get back on their feet. JETLAG is a great fit with this rule.
