I understand that throwing an object will activate the DDM but does the DDM reduce object damage or does it only reduce the figure's damage combat value? I've put the parts in bold that lead me to believe the DDM does not reduce thrown (and thrown alone) object damage.
Sorry for the format of the post. I copy/pasted from the rule book. I know how to copy/paste dials on the Realms but not rules.
DAMAGE DEPLETION MODIFIER
Each time an attack resolves, modify the attacker’s damage value by -1 (minimum 1) until the end of the turn.
USING OBJECTS IN RANGED
COMBAT ATTACKS
A character holding an object may throw it at a single opposing character; a character holding
an object does not have to attack with the object when given a ranged combat action. To throw an object, give the character a ranged combat action and make a ranged combat attack, even if its range value is 0. Regardless of the attacker’s Range Value, light objects can be thrown 6 squares; heavy objects, 4 squares. Regardless of the attacker’s damage value, a successful ranged combat attack with an object deals Object Damage. Object Damage means a light object deals 2 damage; and a heavy object deals 3 damage.
And the format is fine. No one here is gonna complain about the formatting of a post when you actually take the time to quote things. Its more than some people do.
Thanks - as everyone is tired of hearing, and I know Nimrod is a Marvel figure, but I'm much more a DC fan, so I've basically ignored reading much about the current X-Men set. So I hadn't seen this figure and its trait.
That's a nice dial even w/o the trait.
That's a brutal Bizarro world dial - run it backwards - RS/PW with Perplex on top click with 17 and ESD.
It's been coming up a lot recently... everyone wants to throw multiple objects with the new chase Magneto.
Could you mind control Magneto, give him a power action to destroy the walls/blocking? I'm sure the answer is yes, but would he keep the scrap metal markers after the mind control action?

Yes. There is no change to his trait by either Mind Control or the trait itself when he is being mind controlled. So the trait will work just as normal. So it could only be activated to destroy blocking terrain if he has no tokens. And he'll keep the tokens afterwards.
Is there a way to boost the dmg of a thrown object by magneto?
Not that I'm aware of. Thrown objects do a set amount of damage. There might be a figure with a special power that lets them throw objects for more than normal damage, but nothing I know of that would do it for other figures.
