"PROTECT YOU FROM YOURSELVES: The Chief can use Outwit and Perplex. When he uses either you may choose a friendly character within 6 squares that shares a keyword and he may count range and draw lines of fire from the chosen character's square. At the end of your turn, if The Chief did not use Outwit, choose a friendly character within 6 squares that shares a keyword and that character's powers and abilities can't be countered until your next turn."
1) Let's say that "at the end of my turn" I haven't yet used outwit. so I choose a friendly character to be "uncountereable". After I choose the character, can I THEN still use outwit? Does the "uncounterability" on my chosen character remain?
2) Let's say I count range and draw lines of fire from a friendly character. If said character is a Giant (or colossal) can I ignore elevated terrain when drawing this line of fire? (I kind of know that the answer is "NO" but I'm asking in behaf of my gaming group :P)
I am 99.9% sure that there used to be a post about this on WIN... but I can't find it now. Hmmm...
Going strictly by the timing allowed during the end of your turn, the answers are:
1) Yes, you can use Outwit. And, the "can't be countered" effect should still be in play.
Given that I can't find this answer, though, on WIN, I am wondering if there is a change coming.
For the second, this is completely unrelated to Chief, yes? If so, you really should have started another thread for that. Anyway, only the character with the different size draws LOF differently. Other characters that draw LOF from that character's square are not actually *THAT* character; the LOF is drawn however those other characters would normally draw LOF. They, too, happened to ignore elevation and the like, fine. But they would not gain the benefits of the character they are drawing LOF from.

Not necessarily I have noticed that the rules forum sometimes allow older rulings to fade into the aether even if they arent changing.
For instance I remember discussing with Harpua the order of targeting with RCE/Shape Change and then getting a confirmation from WES on exactly what Harpua said. I book marked it but the link is now dead.
I dont think the ruling changed I just dont think they care to keep it around.
"A Jester unemployed is nobody's fool." - The Court Jester "And so he says, I don't like the cut of your jib, and I go, I says it's the only jib I got, baby!

Problem is The Chief is from WF. There really is no reasonable way that WF rules should be disappearing yet due to age; it's not even 6 months old yet. Not when they've got threads going back to January of 2015.

Pretty sure that ruling got removed when they added the End of Turn clarification to the E&C. Don't think it was even up that long. There's a ton of rulings that have been cleaned up once they get rolled into the general E&C.
