I believe Scott said that he got 5 Sketch Variants in his brick, so it looks like it's something like one Sketch Variant every other booster, as far as statistics go.
For the people complaining that wizkids is trying to extract every dollar they can from collectors, wizkids has stated a few years ago that they didn't want collectors, they were even trying to break them by releasing too much product in a year. This isn't a cash grab, it is a cool little bonus to add value in every other booster. As it stands now, I can't justify buying a random booster off the shelf unless that set has some kind of extra value. ( id cards, sin relics, rings, etc.)
Can't say I'm a fan. It was a cool homage to the B&W origins of the Turtles, but that's where it should have ended. Unless, I suppose, you want to pretend they are all White Lanterns, I'll be ignoring all the effectively-unpainted figures I get in my box of pre-painted figures.
Fielding a team with one of them would feel lame. Even fielding a team with all sketch variants would feel kinda lame, unless they were all characters from the 30s.
im not a fan of the sketch idea as a whole, if i pull any sketch figures im jut gonna try to trade for a standard painted version, or see away the sketch version...... except moon knight, i pull a sketch moon knight im keeping it, because it will probably look better than the normal one
Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne! Milk for the Khorne Flakes!

Interesting. Never heard this, but did feel there was too much product a few years back. I've now gotten used to the 1 set each quarter and ignoring the movie sets. And I've gone from boosters to CURs on line as my main purchase avenue for new sets.
Averaged 50$ for the last 4 DC sets as complete CURs. My storage space has filled up, so I've basically skipped the past 3 or 4 Marvel sets (post GotG).
Most Wanted:DC Super Friends - El Dorado, Rima.
Finish the classic Legion of Super-Heroes - Light(ning) Lass, Ferro Lad, Chemical King, Quizlet.

When WK released a large amount of product representing multiple licenses, players complained that it was overwhelming to buy everything. WK responded that they did not intend for people to buy every single set which was released. For example, superhero fans were not expected to buy the Bioshock set.
They never stated that they did not want collectors, or that they were "trying to break them." They simply didn't see a problem with extending the brand to encompass multiple licenses, because they didn't expect people to be interested in all of them.

I seem to recall a WizKids rep mentioning that War of Light would put a stake into the heart of the completionist collector—and being happy about it.
here is an idea, Paint and Play. as long as the Dial is the same why not paint them differently to add some variety to your Collection? think of all the possibility's. it is a neat idea.
