PILOTING: An adjacent friendly character can be given a power action to become the vehicle's one pilot and be placed on this card. Pilots can't possess: ;Duo;, ;Team;, ;Vehicle;, ;Tiny;, ;Giant;, or ;Colossal; symbols and can't be bystanders. A pilot is only a pilot as long as that character is on this card. Vehicles without a pilot can't be given actions. Give the vehicle a power action to place the pilot into an adjacent square. Pilot abilities are traits that are only active when the pilot meets the prerequisites.

ISOLATED FROM THIS VIOLENT WORLD: Superman begins the game placed at least 6 squares from any starting area and not adjacent to another character. While on click 11, he can't be moved or placed. When he is the only character on your force or an opposing character critical hits another friendly character, you may turn him to click 7 and he can't be healed for the remainder of the game.
Can Superman become the Pilot of a vehicle while on click 11?
Follow up question: Because Superman's trait reads "Cannot be moved or placed", can he never leave the vehicle?
Short answer - Yes.
Long answer - Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Did the WoRF allow this? Based on the criteria of placing the character, I would assume KC cannot drive....

I think that the critical phrase is "cannot be placed," while Piloting requires a figure to be placed on the vehicle's card. Looks like a negative to me, at least as long as he is on #11.

I'm not saying I even disagree, but with something like this (that is not a common ruling or in the rule book etc) I personally try to back it up with other rules rationale.

You guys need to read the WIN more often.

PLACING
[C]Some game effects instruct you to “place” a character or other game element. When you do, remove the character/game element from the square it currently occupies and place it in the designated square or area.
[C]"Placing" is not movement and does not trigger effects that look for movement.
[C]Game effects that prevent a character from being placed, and game effects that trigger off of a character being placed, only apply to effects that place characters already on the map into a square on the map (such as Telekinesis). Placing game elements into your starting area during setup, placing characters or game elements on cards, or bringing game elements into the game such as from your Sideline or from outside the game, is not considered "placing" for such effects, and can not be prevented by or trigger those effects.

No, I'm almost compulsive about reading the E and C thread, they just need to notate changes made to it so people can better keep track of what's new and what's old.
Especially as it grows larger and larger.
Still, good to know there's a rationale. That is, after all, all I was asking for.

I wasn't being snarky. I was being serious. Most of the answers to people's questions are there. What I quoted isn't even new. That clarification has been there for a while, which is why I already knew what the answer to the question was.

I had, actually. When I posted to WIN, my question got kicked back and the only notation was to "See PLACING". Unfortunately, after reading through it I wasn't quite sure where the answer I needed was.
So thank you for clarifying, that helped me out. That's pretty much all I needed.

And on that note, I'm going to lock my own thread, since I got the answer I was looking for.
