TEAM 5:
Anti-Stealth - R Steel 66
WC Range Attacker - E Klaw 74
TK - Mandroid 28
PCer - R Destiny 20
Perplex - R Mystique 34

R-CA
R-Iceman
TEAM 8:

E Moon Knight 27 (stealth, super strength, willpower, free move)

I like team 2 and team 8. 2 is better, but 8 is decent as well. Heres my reasoning:
Team 2 gets you a very versatile annihilus, who can shoot into stealth, have stealth, have a chance to dodge attacks, and add to psylockes attack when they are hidind in stealth. All of that should fare very well, just watch out for heavy outwit teams. They can be a little overwhelming in mixed tourneys.
Team number 8:all i would do is drop the moon knight for a rookie black panther to give some outwit, and you have yourself a good team. You still keep the free move also.
This is a team I'm planning for Sunday. Marvel, 400-point, all heroes by team, villains by team, or unaffiliated.
My team
R Magneto 80
R Doombot 27
R Destiny 20
R Avalanche 19
R HYDRA Medic 12
R A.I.M. Medic 14
R Hand Ninja (ranged) 14
E Calypso 38
E Kraven 72
E Mystique 43
V HYDRA Operative 13
V Bullseye 43
With the Doombot emulating the Brotherhood, I can move everyone out on the first turn w/ a Leadership roll.
I also thought about using a second R Doombot instead of the Operative and Ninja, and setting up so one can use Bullseye's AV and the other uses HYDRA to give him a 12 AV EE.
If you want to suggest any changes to the team, the My Collection link has my collection (obviously).
Tournament Match Record: 123-134
First 3-0: June 6 '04 @ Triple Play Collectibles, Surrey, BC.
100th Loss: Dec 5 '04 @ Triple Play Collectibles
100th Win: Feb 21 '05 @ Triple Play Collectibles http://www.geocities.com/dfloyd84/clixlist.txt
i think its pretty good for the rules of the tourney, and your collection. Good luck wit hit, but play cautiosley, cuz big hitters may give you some problems.
Here's my new (and as yet untested) Marvel 300 pointer.
U Wolverine 64
E. Wasp 33
E. Taskmaster 58
E. Doombot 33
E. Cyclops 68
E. Black Cat 32
V. Paramedic 12
300 exactly
The point is to get Taskmaster and Wolverine in to do some slicing. Taskmaster has Mastermind, and Wolverine has Toughness, so it's gonna be hard to hurt either one of them. Cyclops sits back and snipes. The only trouble that I find with the team now (since I haven't tested it) is that there's only one sniper and that Doombot will die really quickly. Whaddya think?
i would take out the wasp, and cyclops. Now you have 101 points left. I would add in V bullseye as a sniper, R jean grey for TK, and a R blac panther for outwit. Now you are at 300 even, and you can now move and slice, without waiting and getting attacked. I like the Tk on your team alot more than the taxis. Hope i have helped.
E. Juggernaut (I know, he's not a mutant, but close enough)
R. Magneto
E. Beast
E. Sabretooth
V. Iceman
E. Storm
R. Rogue
V. Avalanche
R. Scarlet Witch
R. Wolvesbane
E. Destiny
E. Boom Boom
R. Quicksilver
E. Paramedic (call her Moira MacTaggart if you have to justify her)
Bear in mind that I almost never play Marvel teams, but I put this one together for a buddy of mine.

i like the theme, and i think it is pretty good, but i would drop the boom boom, and use the points for some upgrades, like E storm to V, and then E destiny to V. Overall, not bad, but i like it a little more with the changes. Hope i have helped
Definitely agree with you on the Storm issue, but at the same time, you can bet that an opponent is gonna swarm Juggs, and I figured that Boomer could break that up a little. Destiny is cool the way she is, seeing as how she's best for that prob control, and Scarlet Witch has it too, I think. With that in mind, I'm stuck with E. Storm. Too bad that I could never play this team at my shop. They only let you have one Prob. Control fig. Oh well.
