036 sunstreaker - the hotheaded sunstreaker's lone wolfloose cannon approach comes across in scores of ways on this dial. I appreciate he gets his own, lesser, self-leadership to contrast his personal disdain for following orders. coupled with his ability to sandbag an effectual teammate to "do it myself" and possibly overlapping his laser guided missile, this guy's got a lot of potential to do just that. plus pw. pw always gets the job done. and don't think I didn't notice that raw dmg spike when it's time to roll up your sleeves and get nasty. this yellow lamborghini-bot is living up to his dangerous rep. oh the irony of the bf flavor text of "easily baited" that ignores the very baiting sc . but the fact that it scuttles his range and makes him have to come on in fits the flavor even if the power conceptually wasn't still spot on
013 sunstreaker - this shifts into a backhanded teamplayer. still 2 steps forward 1 step back in how he plays with others, but his arrogance is drawing fire in a helpful way. the compensation of keyword specific penetration is bangarang in this set. I like the combat value tradeoffs from click 1 to 2, and the combat value boost at the expense of power tradeoff from click 2-3. great flow there. finally the end dial spike showcases his stubborn resolve in a grand way

The PW was originally Precision Strike. I changed it first, because it seemed like an appropriate power to represent his pulse rifle in multiple ways. The fact that it is yellow and plays to the character in a meta-design sealed the deal for me.
That's been my problem with Battle Fury from the start. All too often the power execution doesn't match the concept evoked by the name. It's caused me to drop it from designs on many occasions. I really wanted the no range aspect, but, as you pointed out, it goes squarely against the shape change notion. I didn't want to add any more special powers, so...Oh well, compromises.

I must admit, the defend was a meta design choice, but with the damage special power, we see the ego and not altruism as the explanation. The fact that I was able to pull the name of the power as a quote from the character cemented it for me.

I think you need to add an "instead" at the end of that special EE effect, unless you want Shockwave to deal hit characters his damage value AND 2 damage.
I would also put quotation marks around it, to remove any ambiguity about what the 'but' applies to, but it's not strictly necessary.
So I would change the phrasing to this:

g010 shockwave - the irony of the bigger of robots changing into the smaller of transformations. but that's the nature of 4thwall breaking usoform toys, amirite? the way you've navigated his SF, not just that it's all inclusive (thank you kindly) but that it captures the different pros and cons of the forms through such simple yet bold adjustments as -1 range and no close. the -1 range makes you appreciate the ranged focus of the gun form more, and the no close lets you lean hard into the offensive application of the blaster. would it be appropriate to include on the blaster form? that attack penalty from the confounded is very character focused and all-but negligible in sealed, but a worthy penalty to help keep his costs down fairly. I really enjoy the raw power of the stats. he stands above as a very dangerous piece. and I can't help but notice the great attack values that offset the penalty of the . the full em blast is a big ol boom of options. each one very viable in a different circumstance. I especially like the subtlety of the +2 range that could be overlooked as the weakest (especially with perplex as an option), but the added +1 to range can be the difference between an attack or no attack at all on a short move no m&a piece. very good work
043 jetfire - I love how you've mixed the game up here, and given us a different way to represent the switch without sf. using the zatanna design is such a breath of fresh air in the set and shows you're not sticking to formula or phoning anything in, you're thinking out of the box in ways above and beyond . the battle armor is a cool add. I appreciate that you parsed it out to provide different point options and how the in the dial still has added value. I love the flow in both directions and I love the overlap, actually, of the SPs in the middle where it feels like he's swapping form to form as needed. really cool one, here
005 spike - ha! giving him the xmen ta for autobots is a great way for added support and gives a dedicated support piece the much needed "do something" effect. the defense add is also huge and makes the pilot for autopiloted with no penalty pieces worthwhile. I love the scaling defense bonuses, especially because they key off of different things (or all from bumblebee) and can combine to a hefty advantage. and I love that he can hang out with dc's bumblebee . the hefty combination of all that defense is amazing when you consider how much giant robots are going to have to put effort in to squash 1 puny human thanks to the strict moral codes of cartoons of the time . I award this piece , losing a point only because of the lack of "Oh $#!+, What are we gonna do now?" flavor text
049 sparkplug - the attack bonus and the sweet, low defend makes that supporting role support roll of 5 a cinch. that alone earns his 25 pt cost, but the fuel shenanigans is awesome. the poison part was given a big range and unavoidable tag to be worth his life, but easily a fair trade, and I mean fair, not broken. the object removal is cool, too, though I think you need to specify how many tokens are removed from each dude
