Good piece, but coulda been great if they had done one of two things: Taken away the activation click, or raised the points and given us Indomitable. I don't care which way, but please quit giving so many pieces with activation clicks just to get started (...except for the case of pieces like Armor in GSX.. she makes sense).
If you're gonna have an "activation click," which I don't especially consider he does, that's an amazing one to have -- I love the games where pushing can turn the tide, and he goes from 'none-too-shabby' to 'murder machine' with a push.
Not bad. His SP is interesting and has some good good damage potential, but using it really shortens his life span. Once he hits click 4 he's practically got one foot in the grave.
Looks great. Not exactly how I would have done him, but the dial design seems to hit a lot of what I would have put in myself with a cool appropriate special power.
Haves/Wants: Looking for Takion, Highfather, Superboy, Validus. Have Barda & Mister Miracle and Cable LE
WildCATS has me stoked and Grifter, to me, wil be a really fun piece to field. I wish he was in a more action-oriented pose. I'm wondering if the 'Cats get an ATA. If so there's no telling how much better this guy will be. I'm looking forward to using him with Hawkeye, IH Punishers, and the like for lots of ranged fun.
LOVE Grifter in the comics! I just wish they had a W.I.L.D Cats team ability to go with it. Can we get a Jack Marlowe one day too? Maybe before he was a drunk hobo and then after? :)
He has the potential to be a very, very annoying piece. He's 88 points you can't afford to ignore. I know a guy who loves Grifter & I don't look forward to the number of times I'm going to have to deal with him.
Thank you for reading this. It makes me feel important.
This set feels more and more like Arkham Asylum 2. Amazing commons and uncommons, less than stellar super rares. Pieces like Grifter make for a really fun sealed environment. He helps muzzle those few nutty bricks that every set is bound to have.
Nice opening attack values with your choice of Psychic Blast to deal with hardened targets and his special to deal with softer, harder to hit targets. Sharpshooter helps deal with characters with combat reflexes - unless they can use stealth.
My life has no purpose, no direction, no aim, no meaning, and yet I'm happy. I can't figure it out. What am I doing right?

This sure is a fun looking dial. The special power is almost like a ranged Flurry, his sharpshooter makes him crazy deadly no matter is he's ranged or based. That Perplex and TK make him very team friendly (as does his point value) and that single click of Regen on his last bit of life can keep him hanging in the game. This guy is a keeper if you ask me.
