Curse you foul Dogs! You stole the only advantage that the Dragon's Fury had. With that 11 attack, we are now average in comparison with our 10 or 9 + IT attack ratings. Couple this with the heat dial you stole from the Spirit Cats, the armor you stole from the highlanders, the damage you stole from the Sword Sworn, and the pilot you stole from the Ghost Bears, it makes me wonder if the only thing that is your's is the paint job.
[Note: This was all meant in good fun and not to be taken seriously.]
Great idea Ekarl...The use of artillery early on may be viable...The trick will become the actual exicution of such tactics.
One other example of your army could be:
Geoff Bekker 253
Merc Sniper 58
SW Padillia 49
SW Guilia x4 40 (arranged arround in a "Circle" to make kodiak charge-proof)
SW Fenrir x3 48
448
Basically, you infiltrate the Guilia's in a ring 4.1" diamater ring so that you can on turn 1 (1) Fire SW Padillia (2) Fire Merc Sniper (3) Run Kodiak into the "Pogged" area (and still not be arnis bait)...And actually that still leaves you with 1 pog to shoot off towards any opposing units...After this you are right at your Sweet Spot...not bad...
@ everyone...
Has anyone had the idea that this might be what a GBD unit would look like (Smiles)
Originally posted by Claymore19 i'm sorry, but the "after three clicks" is the key phrase there. if the longbow can get in a good shot, it'll knock the kodiakc right past the point where Tetro would be shaking in his boots
I can't wait for the first fool to play a longbow against me. There will be only one question: Should I kill it or capture it for double points. Any half decent MW who play with this amazing Kodiak will know how to give it three clicks before a longbow gets a CLEAR shot off.
What is up with some of you people, do you think a decent MW would let you get a clear and free shot on this mechs before it hits it prime. If you believe that, then that is sad:( .

I've read through the posts and searched the WK site and compared the Kodiak to other mechs...
Has anyone noticed that the Kodiak DOES NOT have a vent rating in the listing???
Its possible that WK made a mistake on their site (however unlikely:ermm: ). But is it also equally possible that the Kodiak has no vents? that would go a long way to explaining why an otherwise awsome assault mech is so relatively cheap. Also, it would make this not quite so awsome as mechs go.

Posting three times was an accident. And I did read the posts and searched the WizKids site. In fact I just searched it again clicking every link I could find in reference to the kodiak and I still can't find a vent rating at www.wizkids.com/mwdarkage.
It's kinda annoying to get a whole streak of multiple posts. Is it possible to delete some of them? And remember, when you click the "submit" button ONCE, it posts ONCE. If you click it many times, you clutter up the boards.
Anyway, sorry, but I couldn't edit my post after posting for some reason, so I needed to wait 'till you posted to follow up.
Find "ca123 - Steel Wolves, Wolfkin Keshik - Unique Geoff Bekker - Kodiak" from the drop-down list. It has repair markers and full stats, including vent rating of 2.
This and the 360 arc and the 0/14 range makes Geoff a monster compared to his equals in the Steel Wolves. That and it has a good heat dial.
I don't play SW but I must have this beast.-
I would not say he blows Seka out of the water. Geoff has to fight to get to his best click unlike Seka whom can sit behind and use single use Command to get her to her sweet spot. Out of all the Steel Wolves Seka has been the easiest to actaully get to the sweet spot. Geoff is great though and I would hate to have to fight him At his best click.
3 towed aa could destroy it before it even gets out of the gate no matter how strong it is. Of course they could do that to any other mech. hmmmmm 32 X 3 = 192 pts. wow thats not alot of points. Behold the two inch high stack of artillery pogs! This is how far MW has degenerated.
