These dials are flat-out too good for Batman. He should be 80-100 points. And he should never have Invulnerability. Even Toughness I wouldn't be too profilgate with. But then, point costs and power levels have been ballooning ever since Crisis/Secret Invasion. (Not power creep exactly, the new figures are still fair -they're just a lot more expensive and beefy on average.) It's been nice to see NECA begin to rein it back in somewhat, but then they go and do something like this.
VGA: "Ditto! Good game design has been thrown out the window in replace of making every character as comic-innacurate as possible.
And the people that are saying that a Hulk shouldn't exceed 175 points.. Really? But Batman should stand toe to toe with him? Seriously, people should read more comics... because Batman would last all but 10 seconds against the Hulk."
Sorry, bud, that would most likely never happen. Batman is (if i'm not mistaken) the second most popular DC character ever, next to Superman. If there was some cross-over comic, I sincerely believe Batman would find some way to beat him.
"Our mother has been absent ever since we founded Rome; but there's gonna be a party when the wolf comes home."

Without adding gasoline to the fan boy fire that is sure to start. Bats would last as long as Cap. Batboy is used to fighting metahumans outside of his weight class.
First Daredevil, Spidey, Cap shot, Bucky as Cap, Steve's back, Odin's back, Bucky's dead, Tony off the wagon!? That's it. Marvel is dead to me.
Hmm. Minor wording difference on Batman Ally, here. It says "uses Stealth" instead of the normal counterpart's "can use Stealth." Is there a significant difference here for gameplay purposes?
I'd asked this twice before and haven't seen anyone answer it. I guess it comes down to, do you have to use TA when you have one or not, which I don't think you do, but I could be wrong. If there is no difference I don't understand why they didn't just use the old version. Why go through the trouble of making something new that's just a duplicate?
Well now i Have no remorse that AA is being rotated out of modern since I now have not one but TWO awesome replacements for my lamppost ! It's a good day to be a batman fanboy

I'm trying to figure these pieces out. Clearly they are overpowered, but why? Is it a mandate from DC? Is it to reflect that in the Batman Movie-verse, Batman is all Gotham has, so he has to be powerful enough to reflect that?
My biggest "huh?" reading them over was Glider suit = Flight. It's a flying Batman that can carry another figure. It could have been dialed back a bit and I would have enjoyed it. Maybe something like "Has Flight, if he starts his movement on elevated terrain and ends on a lower elevation, cannot use carry."
Bruce Wayne is also overpowered, but fits a growing trend with Defense. It does make you wonder, does money really buy you that much Protection (Defend w/18)? I guess so.
I appreciate the pieces, and how well they will perform, but really, the movie versions of this character look too good. (Is that a think with this game, "too good" )

As it's already been said he cannot carry anyone. Flight and Carry are two separate abilities. Both abilities are granted by the symbol, which this Batman does not have, only a special power that grants him the Flight Ability.
Umm, why does the Dark Knight have sharpshooter with no real reason to use it? Am I missing something?
why wouldn't he have a reason to use it? He can target a character he is in base contact with a ranged attack. He can attack a character that is within 6 range but behind another opposing character.
In addressing the Invulnerabilty ability, the one thing we are also overlooking is the base damage creep that has been happening in the game. Remember when 3 damage only happened to metahumans or big gunners? Remember the Watchmen set, which pretty much comfirmed that regular people could only deal out 2 damage? Well that went out the window some time ago. We now have Black Cats, Batman and other regular people who can punch through walls.
The logical extention is that damage reducers would go up as well. I know we wonlt like the mechanics but the reality is that this was going to happen sometime.
I know these are the movie figures, but for those of your who aren't reading the comics, I suggest you get ready to really freak out. The new batsuits on Bats, Batgirl, Nightwing and BatWoman have shown them able to walk away from explosions, huge bladed weapons and multiple gunshots. Red Robin can fly.
The jump to Invulnerable is happening. It is simply a result of that creep up in 3 damage.
