Alpha Flight headquarters was a little crowded with the new guests from the DC universe. Elongated Man, Vixen and Azrael had joined Robin and the Huntress to help Alpha Flight cope with the new arrivals from the DC universe.

Ralph Dibny was still distraught over his resurrection not including his wife Sue. He was uncharacteristically morose as he sat in the Alpha Flight hall getting to know the members of Alpha Flight and getting a more thorough briefing about the world he'd been revived on. He took heart in learning of the many resurrections that had occured including those of nonpowered loved ones.

Gambit seemed to take an unusual interest in Azrael and began trying to draw out Jean Paul Valley.

Vixen was in an animated conversation with Snowbird and Saquatch. She really felt an affinity with the two and was interested in learning all about them as she disclosed her own story.

Northstar and Aurora were out combing the area to try to find other villains or evidence that the Wendigo may have tried to return for more trouble.

Day 29: Dusk; Near Toronto on an alternate Earth in an alternate reality.

Adam Strange saw that it was time for him to return to Earth from Rann and stood in position to catch the Zeta Beam. He caught a rift in reality instead.

Matt Hagen; alias Clayface II, was wondering how he came to be on the outskirts of Toronto. He'd been mostly laying low after the harrowing encounter he'd had with the Shadow Demons. Most people assumed he was dead and that's he'd wanted it.

He assumed his human visage and approached the city where he was confronted by enforcers that identified themselves as Shield agents.

He introduced himself as ordinary citizen Matt Hagen. The Shield agents demanded to know why he was outside the city alone and walking. He tried to claim that he was driving to Toronto when his car broke down a few miles outside of the city.

The Agents smelled a rat and decided to take him into custody. Hagen gave up subterfuge and reverted to Clayface. He then smothered the two Shield agents. After that, he disposed of their bodies in the woods, then he assumed the appearance of a Shield agent himself.

It was then that a rift in reality appeared and Adam Strange arrived. All that Strange saw before him was a lone human dressed in the blue garb of an agency he was unfamiliar with.

Adam Strange asked the person who he was.

Clayface had to think fast so he said, I'm Matt Dillon, Agent of Shield."

"I've never heard of Shield. What is it?"

"Uh, we're special forces for Canada sir. You see this is Toronto."

Adam Strange looked around. "Ah yes, I see." Something was wrong. The Zeta Beam should never have deposited him near Toronto.

Preoccupied, he didn't notice as Clayface slipped away. When he looked around, the Shield agent was nowhere to be seen, but an Alsatian was running into the city.

Adam Strange didn't want to disturb the citizens of Toronto by flying into the city so he decided to jet home to the U.S.

It wasn't long before he realized something was wrong and decided to turn back. Toronto was the only sign of civilization for miles and Strange needed some explanations.

Clayface II raced through the city of Toronto. Nobody paid much attention to a stray dog, though a couple of mounties tried to catch him to take him to an animal shelter.

He decided he didn't want that kind of attention so he ducked into an alley and changed to an old lady that confounded the pursuing mounties.

Suddenly, he was confronted by another person. A strange man in a dark cloak. The man addressed him.

"Don't bother trying to deny who you are. You're Matt Hagen, one of the many Clayfaces. I'm here to help you acclimate to this new world come with me."

With that, the Midnight Rambler spirited Clayface II away.

Adam Strange flew into Toronto and found some more patrolling Shield agents. He confronted them.

They Demanded to know who he was. He told them and they called Alpha Flight. They asked him if he'd had any encounters when he arrived. He explained that he'd met one of their agents who'd disappeared mysteriously when Adam turned his back.

They asked where this had happened and when he told him, they called for other agents to investigate.

Vindicator and Puck arrived accompanied by Robin, the Huntress, Azrael, Elongated Man and Vixen.

Adam Strange was happy to see someone he recognized which amounted to Robin, Elongated Man and Vixen. He'd never met the Huntress or Azrael and obviously was unfamiliar with Puck and Vindicator.

After some searching, Shield discovered the slain agents that Clayface II hid in the woods and asked Adam Strange if he had anything to do with it.

He denied it and the DC group vouched for his character. Although he was unfamiliar with the Huntress, she knew about him. Robin suggested that a shapechanger from his universe was likely to be the Shield agent that Adam encountered.

Shield agents were alerted and told to look for signs of a shapechanger. Mandroids were activated to try to locate the shapechanger psionically. They were unsuccessful.

Clayface II found himself in the presence of Hush and Black Mask. The Midnight Rambler had brought Black Mask together with Hush and brokered an alliance.

Now he was offering Clayface II to join them. Black Mask and Hush welcomed the alliance as Hush was burning with a desire for revenge against the Kingpin and although he was nominally in the Kingpin's employ he fully intended to do things the way Hush wanted to.

They were also instructed by the Midnight Rambler to try to break out the Penguin, Harley Quinn and Clayface III from Arkham at the first opportunity.

Adam Strange learned about the problems with the Omacs and insisted on looking for the satellite Brother Eye.

He knew he needed to go into space to deal with Brother Eye.

Heather Hudson knew that the best chance he had to reach that satellite was to get Adam Strange together with the Fantastic Four. Adam Strange was sent to the Baxter Building.

Adam Strange was admitted to the Baxter Building and met with Johnny Storm and Susan Storm Richards.

Normally, Luke Cage and Spiderman would be there to fill in for Ben Grimm and Reed Richards, but they were preoccupied with trying to root out Kobra.

Johnny and Sue called in Crystal and Medusa to help. Volcana was left to mind Franklin Richards along with Johnny and Sue's resurrected father.

Adam Strange joined two members of the F.F. and two members of the Inhumans in storming the Brother Eye satellite using Lockjaw for transportation.

The group arrived on the Brother Eye satellite and proceeded to dismantle it. It wasn't hard but they resisted completely destroying it despite protests from Adam Strange. The Marvels felt that if and when Reed Richards showed up, they could make the satellite work for them.

Mary Marvel realized she could not return to her Mary Batson identity because of the absence of the Rock of Eternity.

Restless and feeling that Fawcett City was well protected by the Science Police and found the city boring as she waited for the population of the city to appear.

Despite herself, she left Fawcett City and began patrolling the Earth itself.

Katana was delivered to Tokyo and Sunfire was alerted to her arrival.

The Silver Samurai looked at her askance but Sunfire welcomed her wholeheartedly.

Katana soon learned that Lady Shiva was at large in the city.

This gave her some pause as she did not fare well in their last encounter. Nevertheless, she was ready for whatever came her way. She began to get to know Sunfire and the Silver Samurai.
