I dont know why, but I like the wings on the nem mechs. Its good to see the some original clane mechs but I would like to see some more "old school" mechs, there is only a hand full of Mad Cats and Thors out there.

I didn't want to rant about how bad 'Americans' are because I'm sure that a good portion of the people that inhabit that country are decent nice people. as an international player i agree that wizkids sometimes forgets the ppl outside of their continent, there are many european collectors (im one myself) who isnt able 2 hash out hundreds of euros\dollars to buy a ticket to a convention 2 b able to get hands on exclusive wizkids products, if we want to have a chance at a mail away fig we need to pa more, wait longer and while most of us dont have access to creditcards (seems u can get one from age of 16 in states i bet, here it aint as easy.

that new dropship booster thing, nice but only available to US and canadian citizens, guess i d just put up the coupon on ebay if i draw one, chances are slim to none (if i ever find one, none of the apocolypse horsemen or shard have been found in my country, dont know if they even been found outside of the states.

the whole greybase idea, dont know really if we re looking forward to having similar figs but just with rarer bases (hope they release unpainted sculpts instead)

For that matter, we shouldn't be bashing any players due to their nationality or country of record. America is not perfect, contrary to some people's belief or statements, but we are not the devil incarnate, either. Let's stick to playing and enjoying the game, making suggestions to WK when they do something right or wrong, and enjoying the camaraderie of other players.

I'm sorry that WK doesn't provide the same level of support to international players; there has always been a loyal fan base for CBT overseas and it is a mistake to minimize the importance of the international players. WK needs to wake up and read the writing on the wall (sorry for the cliches); don't fix the international support issue and you could be providing a nail for your own coffin. Fair enough?

Wizkids licenses distribution to 'native' companies in the foreign markets. Those domestic companies are the ones that manage the promotion or lack of promotion for WizKids products.

By contract WizKids can't extend any of their marketing to foreign countries or else they will be in violation of their contracts.

So, if you're not happy with the support in your country, or want to see something released there, you need to take it up with the company that handles distribution and promotion in your country.

You can express your discontent to WK, but about all that's good for is helping WK make a decision should the distrubution contract come up for renewal, and some other company has expressed an interest in promoting for WK.

As you might recall, the Japanese distributor ran a Mechwarrior mail in promotion last year that made use of the Japanese equivalent of clix points. WK had absolutely nothing to do with that promotion, other than providing the LEs.

Wow, this thread devolved to inslut flinging! Anyways, I'm happy the the Falcons are in this set (mad at the same time, that it took 2 years), and I'll take whatever mech they give us. Personally I would've loved a Thor as my first JF mech, but it by clan standards would be an antiquated design. So of coarse the Falcons would have new designed mechs, and they should be much better than anything in the Republic (since the republic tried to eliminate the need for 'Mechs)

As for the fins, look at the Spider, unlike its CBT version it has fins, and it makes sense to me that a Jump capable 'Mech would have fins.

My bet on the grey bases is that they're like the clear MK inserts from Minions (or was it Sinister, can't remember) It was the old special insert ala foils from ccgs, the WK tried to generate more sales. It didn't work for them then (evident by the lack of it in other sets) and they're probably only doing it at Topps' direction, after all Topps is the king of inserts!

Overall I can't wait to get a cluster of Falcon mechs!

As a Jade Falcon fan, I would like to see the Hellbringer, Summoner, Cougar, Stormcrow, and Turkina for them. But if they're too old, which I doubt since they still have older designs still around in this game, I would like to see Mark II's of those mechs for the Falcons. And bring in Pryde's Pride!
