I just love how the ads for the Superman set said that it included characters from the "WILDLY POPULAR" Flashpoint crossover. The poster was up before Flashpoint even came out IIRC.
Yeah, that's pretty tasteless.
Wouldn't it have been great though if it said that it included characters from the "WILDLY UNPOPULAR" Flashpoint crossover?

This just means that the next DC set after this one will include figures from the "WILDLY popular DC Reboot!"
I just hope this reboot is more than "Let's put new people on teams, stylize their hair, and give them slightly different costumes." If the goal of the reboot is to bring in new readers, it's the writing that needs to change more than anything because if it's the same old thing, people will pick it up for a few issues then drop it.

That's more or less what it is from what I can see. Besides, as anybody who has read comics for any significant amount of time can tell you, it will be less than 6 issues before certain creative teams have problems making deadlines, "Ongoing" series will suddenly have an ending point or get cancelled alltogether, and/or creative teams will be jumbled up and abandoned.

I don't think Flashpoint will stick. I'll willing to bet there will be another huge event in a few years that will reset history yet again

They've already said that in a few years the "Reboot" will be set back to the current continuity. Nothing like telling the public that there is no point to buying the comics that a company will put out for a few years!

I don't read a lot of comics, mainly just the Green Lantern series, but since I've been reading it (which has been going on 4 years now) I don't recall any times when they missed a deadline or any months that one of those books didn't come out. I'm sure DC has missed deadlines on other titles and I KNOW Marvel has been guilty of it, but for the comics I've been reading I haven't noticed any delays or anything.

Wow, that's disheartening. I was seriously contemplating picking up a few DC titles starting with the reboot, but what's the point if it's all going to be undone...again? I was thinking of Justice League, Superman, Batman, Teen Titans, and Legion of Superheroes.
"cosmic" keyword for you KO.
Spidey, si056 Annihilus, ws038 Noh-Varr si054 Gamora.
Just to name a few.
Deals heavy penetrating damage.
Try that keyword in the units section.
Oh yeah, I always use the Units section to build teams. I'm just looking for ideas for teams that would work well together.
Also, I should probably point out that I don't own Cosmic Spidey or NC, so that should be another good reason why I won't use them.
The Ever Growing Trickster and Pied Piper KO List!
U Ganthet, Labcoat Beast, Cap and Bucky
Not removing this until we get Clock King and The Rose-01/23/11
Come on, NECA-Marvel Horror Theme Set 2011!
There was a complete lack of DC lateness to *COUGH* *COUGH* about, so I will just remind everybody of All Star Batman. I believe the series was out for something close to three years and only saw about 10 issues printed. I'm sure there were others, but this is the one that comes to mind the most in recent history.
