Or find ways to give them pulse wave, energy explosion, or quake (book of the skull for example), if they don't already have them.
Or use friendly mind control (Black Talon) to keep them attacking.
But even so, unleashing the Sun Eater is a little underwhelming (based on both comic book knowledge of the Sun Eater and the amount of work necessary to use the trait).
soranik natu. update on her trait. when she is next to most likely sinestro they modify their attack by something. starts with force blast but then gets move special called Will. use willpower and 4-6 for outwit and perplex. attack special she starts with. Called battlefield medic. use support and gets something special when she uses it. when next to someone i think she can heal them. they have her figure on top of the card so i can't read it all.
Kilowog. starts with charge attack special and invul. then gets flurry and toughness.
She can use TK, if you TK a friendly character adjacent to her, she can use support as a free action against that character specifically.

Weird, I think he's pretty boss. I like that he can carry and give BatB Nekron Willpower!
I think folks are thrown by the other (cheaper!) Hals having better damage potential with better printed move and defense, for the most part. But Black Hal can HEAL, baby, all the way back to the top, all by his lonesome. The only two clicks that are 'bad' on him from the perspective of dealing damage solo are #2 and #3 (9 AV, 2 damage, no method of penetrating), but...yeah, he's VERY good for the Black Lantern Corps, and I think Monster teams will have a friend in him, the new Black Hand as a Possessor, and the Black Lantern Ring on its battery. I look forward to folks underestimating him and then getting sick of him healing and granting Willpower and learning their lesson the hard way. He's no solo act, but he's still a priority target.
