So did anyone see the new Pee Wee Herman special? I've looked everywhere and I can't find it. I don't have HBO, so I missed it last weekend.
Might have to get HBO before A Song of Fire and Ice comes out, but if it turns out to be terrible it will have been a waste of money dollars. And I don't want that.
I did see it, as the cable package I still have includes HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, TMC and STARZ. Very mild spoiler notes:
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
It's largely a reworking of the originals stage show, minus the Jelly Donuts musical numbers and the hypnosis act, with a couple character changes and fewer human characters in deference to more time spent with the puppet characters from the TV show. I was glad to see that they decided to write around Captain Carl - giving his key lines and plot elements to Cowboy Curtis - rather than recast Phil Hartman's part.
Anyway, as I have access to it I haven't had a reason to go looking for other feeds.
I'm looking forward to the A Game of Thrones adaptation, too, and wonder if this goes over well if it'll light a fire under George R.R. Martin to return to work on the latest book in the series that's been stalled out for several years now. I remember enjoying that first book in the series, though it's been years since I read it and I never did get on to the later books. One friend made the mistake of waiting for and reading each one as it came out, so the growing stretches between books have been a point of complaint for him for years.
2. Guys who say "No offense, but..." often proceed to offend you.
Saying "No disrespect, but..." and then trying to come up with the worst/most creative insult became a game for a few of us during the deadest of the winter days at work this past season.
1. Guys who say "Not to change the subject..." often proceed to do just that.
2. Guys who say "No offense, but..." often proceed to offend you.
3. Guys who say "I hate to be a killjoy..." often proceed to be...well, you know.
Just sayin.'
Number two ("No offense, but...") is the one I absolutely hate the most. I know a guy who uses it all the time, and whether he means to be offensive or not, often is. I've heard it for 5 or 6 years, and think I am getting better at ignoring it, but every time it makes me cringe.
Confused :-s so this cute girl in my class came in late and sat one seat away from me instead of either up front or in the corner as she usually does, and she kept looking over at me(we were watching a documentary in the class) I don't understand :-s

She's interested in you, show interest in her or she'll give up on you and move on.
Dithering is self defeating. Ask her if she'd like to grab a burger or something after class.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.

Yes, I know only too well what you mean, since those observations are based on experience, along with one other I neglected to cite:
4. Guys who say "Not to interrupt, but..." often already have.
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
I was thinking about waiting a bit after class, I usually run into her but didn't today :-/
When you see her looking at you smile at her, in a friendly disarming way.

I keep hearing good things about A Game of Thrones. I may have to check it out one of these days.
Right now I'm about to go on a serious David Eddings kick.
