He didn't save them from destruction, though, or I'd have given it to you. It's sorta the point of his action, the Guardians' rules wouldn't let him just build nice new homes for everybody.
As for the answer, it's quite obvious. Since they all have one particular thing in common. They're all comicbook characters in the DC universe.
Since CuCr didn't ask for anything exact, that answer works.
And all three previously appeared in comics by other companies before they began mergthe universes to form the DC universe.
Oh, and all three have been on both sides of the law, so they all have criminal records.

All have had a public change of heart - Riddler went from supervillain to crime-solving detective; Plas went from petty crook to shape-changing sleuth; Lex went from supervillain to US President.

*sigh* This was a really bad idea for a trivia question. The answer I was looking for was that all three characters have been portrayed by voice actor Michael Bell: The Riddler on Challenge of the Superfriends, Plastic Man on his own Saturday-morning show, and Lex Luthor in the late-1980s Superman cartoon.
