I love how everyone dismisses this as a ####ing joke ... these "rumours" are true ... I have talked directly with a member of this team about having the spoiler and admit was made.
Ok you have forced my compliance. Gambit " Spicy Cajun "

I love how people who think that this is an untrue rumor use the "if it's true, why don't you name your source" argument, because we all know that ratting out a friend who gives you valuable information isn't the least bit retarded.

We aren't dismissing this as a ####ing joke, there is nothing dismissed here. We're just making jokes until the real debaters get back on here and argue more, until, one day, and I doubt it'll ever happen, a UDE representative responds to this thread with some message.
Besides, whose to say that the message won't be, "Profparm, you're our 1,000,000th Jackass, here's your prize!" And then snakes will shoot out of my computer.
prof there was a time when they would have but I guess your right, now that their game is established they could care less what the people that line their pockets think.

*edit*
you know i wrote something halfway intelligent....but screw it. this thread is retarded. get over it you pansies!
Nah, they replied to another post just a couple of minutes ago. They probably dont see this as anything else but rumor-mongering. I think, if they felt there was a problem, they would have replied. Maybe they are looking into it. I dont know.

Actually, the folks at UDE DO care a lot about this issue. Besides, if these rumors are true, then why in the blue hell would UDE protect these players? The success of the Vs. System is NOT predicated on keeping the top-tier pros happy (many of whom are solely competitive players and wouldn't sit for a casual game unless you offered them money). The future of our game is pandering to the casual players - the ones who spend their hard earned money on a pack of JLA just hoping and praying to pull a holo Martian Manhunter, and spend their free time hanging out local card shops with friends trying to find a way to make that Mageddeon deck work.
If the only people that played the game were established pros, then Vs. System would go under after a single Pro Circuit. Competitive play is great, but it is primarily a tool to broadcast the game worldwide and bring Vs. to the masses. Players that have found success in competive Vs. play may be the face of our game, but it is we - the fans - who are the backbone. And I tell you surely that Upper Deck would much rather give the game a makeover than try to rip out its spine.

I have always felt this way too, but right now their silence is speaking for them.
If they flat out said that this was only a unconfirmed rumor I'd believe them. If the rumor is true atleast keep us up to date as to what the situation is. I just think it is wrong to not even address the situation at hand.
To be fair, even though this thread has 225 or so hits, it's only been active for about 1 3/4 days, and only one full business day. On a timeline, someone discovers it yesterday afternoon, lets their superiors know that the vsrealms community as a whole knows.
Then, they schedule a meeting about it. That could happen today.
I'd expect a response sometime this afternoon, and, MAYBE, tomorrow. Then again, if they don't respond before too much longer, the likelihood of them responding at all DOES diminish....
