I for one am glad to see a fifth player from my alma mater (UVM) on the Stanley Cup, particularly a player from my graduating class and one whom I got see play weekly while I was student there myself.

Congratulations to Tim Thomas (go Class of '97) for being named Series MVP and winning the Conn Smythe Trophy, as well as for his stunning shutout performance in Game 7. He's definitely one of the nicest guys in the League and certainly deserves the accolades.

I am pleased to see the Bruins win! They played a much cleaner game throughout the series.

I WILL admit to being happy for Tim. I've always been unhappy that he ended up in Boston, but I will never forget his brilliant run with UVM.
