Okay, ASIDE from the fact that this guy complains about people being insulted by the term Cheese and then goes on to insult those people with numerous other words, can anyone tell me why this post belongs here?

Once again, I focus on something totally different and you find something like this.
But what you found ultimately makes what I found even funnier and for that . . . we thank you.
He also spelled "grammar" as "grammer."
Speaking of Kelsey Grammer, I wonder what David Hyde Pierce is up to these days? Niles and Daphne were my favorites on that show. And Roz. She's a dirty girl.
Does that make me the Eternal Warrior for participating in them?
Yeah, it looks like we're back to:
If you want to play fun, Theme teams you should not be playing in Tournaments because tournaments are for crushing your opponent so you can get a plastic figure and hearing the lamentations of the women. Grrrrr! I deserve all the little plastic figures at your venue because you're all wimps and aren't ruthless enough to ignore characters and just build based on stats!
In all fairness, you played your part in that as well by insisting that people that don't play your way are doing something "wrong."

Oh, I'm sorry that term is offensive now.
I mean 'Competitive'.
Oh, I'm sorry that term makes people who don't play that way seem like they can't compete or lack skill.
How about "Shmer". Can I say "Shmer"?
I'm gonna say "Shmer"!
I agree that it would be wonderful for everyone to have easy access to all the prizes. It wouldn't change the way I play, though. My teams would be about as "thematic" as they are now--when I feel like it, I'll play themey; most of the time, I won't.

I prefer to pick a character that I like and make him the star of a team. Bring in other characters to support him, or whatnot. Now, it really does suck to make a team and find yourself on the wrong end of a Gamma Bomb when you've never played competitive Heroclix before, but it's just gonna happen, because that's how some people choose to play the game.

I played my part, to be sure. But the part I played was that of a person in a conversation.
I was originally going to post:
"If you want to play fun, Theme teams you should not be playing in Tournaments because tournaments are for crushing your opponent so you can get a plastic figure and hearing the lamentations of the women. in the thread itself in response to Char. But I thought better of it and put it here.
And I would only have "played my part" in that if I'd posted stuff like it. Did you see that post where that guy was calling Cheesers cowards and stuff? I didn't do that. I can't find an instance where I called anyone or anything anyone has had to say "dumb", "ridiculous", "arrogant", "bastard", "crier", "scumbag", "toolbag", "absurd", "slimey", "dink", "obnoxious", "offensive", "braindead", "conceited""stupid", "flawed", or anything like that.
The question of the thread was "Why do they apologize?" Why does anyone apologize? People only apologize when they do something wrong. I pointed that out.
Again, I could go in all kinds of directions with this that I don't. I don't mean the name calling and desrisive sophomoric insults that I've endured and not returned in kind, I mean viable personality profiles and psychological conditions that explain the social dysfunction of caring more about winning than the people with whom one is playing.
And I don't do that.
Because the mere implication has already vetted me such ire that no intelligent being would go any further.
And I do have some sense of social function and I don't want to really hurt people.
But, again, if someone steals from me, I'll say they stole. If they don't like the fact that I'm basically calling them a thief, they should stop stealing. They shouldn't say how bad I am for calling them a thief in a round about way. I'm not calling them a worthless, rat bastard, no good, God damn, stinking, thief. I'm just stating the facts from my point of view.
But this is the Logic 101 thread. This kind of stuff would be better as a post on my Public Profile or in the thread itself. Our difference is not a question of bad logic, but different perspective. I recognize that. And I've validated and responded to the differing perspective of several people on the other "side" of the issue in the thread. So let's keep that stuff there or between us in the future.
