I've played a few games by borrowing a friends Steel Wolves figures and I like the game so much that I've decided to get into by starting my own set. I intend to play the Jade Falcon Clan. But by the way a lot of you are sounding, everyone is upset by retirement and other problems with the game.
I'm glad I finally seen the spoiler list, it does give me an idea on what is coming.
I am a pure Steel Wolves player, and I honestly don't mind being left out of this set all that much. Sure, we only recieved eight units in the last set...but all of those units were useful. And Bekker is a beast. The only gripe we can really have is that they're leaving us out of the invasion by our arch nemeses...which is a little irritating. But we will live. So no more complaining Wolves. Don't give them another excuse to call us puppies by whining all the time, eh?
In truth, my only real concern for the expansion is for Highlander players. If they pervert that Templar, I know a lot of people who will be quite displeased. Still have hope though.
I'd love to, but my work has blocked that site for some reason (it's beyond me, I'm not aware of it having anything of an adult nature on the Mechwarrior board!)
because the spider is a common mech that can see a lot more use for the IS, and the same with the Koshi for the clans. Personally, I'd have MUCH rather seen them wait with the Uller for Falcon's Prey... I'm going to have to field Ullers from other factions for my Falcons! ;-P

I just wonder why they feel the need to re-release the Spider and the Koshi.
How about because both are really cool sculpts?
I love both of these little guys, and if Liao and/or RotS get one of these lil' critters each, I'll be a very happy bunny! I just hope they stay true to the designs paradygms - Koshi = small death, Spider = close quarter fighter (although I wouldn't object to slightly superior heat dials!). I reckon you'll see 18 defense and jump jets on these guys, although the Koshi may well have a higher DV.

I'd have to agree.
I've still got my original 3 Koshi's from the first set.
Love playing them.
They've got better stats than a lot of the newer mechs.
I'm hoping that the Panther's and Spiders have better stats this go around.
hey,
if the world champion wanted a Bannson mech of his own, and there is no bannson, will they let him wait an edition, or are they going to make him pick another faction???
what are everyones thoughts on the grey base peices? do you like the idea, dislike please explain.
i personnally like the idea, as people will be able to collect mechs for play (grey base) and pay the extra dollar to get a tournament won black base to finish lances etc.

Nope. It's gonna be a unique-LE-thingy (Like BH) for the next base set, which is coming after Falcon's Prey.
