Should we start the Batman/Defenders game now? I know the other two games are far from done but I figure that should be a quick one. Sure I'll outwit Surfer's invulnerability and Surfer will hit for 4 and boom, outwit is gone. etc etc etc.
I'm spread a little thin. I've got a couple of games going on over at Creation Matrix as well. We can start coming up with teams, but I don't want to start another one just yet. I don't think that either of the games we've got running now are liable to take too long though...
Hawkeye's damage is only 4, not 5. You're thinking of the Vet.
Thanks for the hit on Zemo. He'll Outwit Thor's Invulnerability now.
Yellowjacket pushes to move to L22. 1 click to her.
Controller tries to MC Hawkeye. AV9 on DV16. Needs a 7. Gets a 3. I'm cursed this game.
Controller brushed Yellowjacket out of the way and flung one of hit control disks at Hawkeye intending to have him attack Thor for him. Hawkeye saw what he was doing, and in one fluid motion pulled an arrow and fired it. It struck the disk in midair, shattering it.
Okay, once more, Controller pushes to MC Hawkeye. Like last time, needs a 7. Gets a 12. I don't think you still do crit hit damage with MC. Anyway, Hawkeye will go for Thor. AV10 on DV16. NEeds a 6. Gets a 4. Controller takes a click.
Moonstone pushes to attack Thor. AV8 on DV16. Needs an 8. Gets a 10. Oh hooray. 4 clicks to Thor. Now he only does 4 damage!!! Moonstone takes a click.
Well, since Thor's still got Invulnerable, it's still Outwitted, so let's attack with Zemo. AV7 on DV15. Needs an 8 as well. Gets 8. 1 more to Thor! Puts him on his worst click!
What Hawkeye hadn't realized is that Controller had thrown two disks. While the archer deflected one, the other hit home. Suddenly he had the urge to attack Thor. He swung his bow around to take aim. Just as he was loosing the arrow, though, Thor grabbed Hawkeye's hand, the bow and the arrow at the spot where all three met.
"Uh, I don't think you really want to do that," Thor said, pulling off the control disk like it were some sort of bug and crushing it underfoot.
"Whoa, yeah, sorry big guy." Hawkeye apologized.
From above a blast of energy hit Thor. Moonstone laughed at her success.
"Okay, ow, now that really hurt," Thor admitted.
"And so will this!" Zemo yelled, firing his gun at Thor again.
"Well, that one really just kind of stung more than really hurt," Thor explained.
Black Widow doesn't have LoF to Moonstone. Moonstone would have to be at H18 or I18 for the Widow to be able to see her. The only one Widow has LoF to from where she is, is Boomerang. She can KO him, if you want.
I hate going over this again but I thought anyone in the first row of a building is fair game to on the first row of the ground level (providing the figures range allows this). I guess you're saying they have to be next to each other?
Otherwise of course I'd hit Boomy. Sorry to take out Zemo so fast by the way, he's kinda fun to play.
The first row is visible from the ground, provided the grounded figure is more or less directly in front of the elevated figure (about 45 degrees). Essentially, you draw a pair of diagonal lines, beginning in the middle of the square occupied by the elevated figure and passing through the corners of the square and on into the squares beyond.
Or if it's easier to envision it this way, picture the thick black line indicating elevated terrain as actual blocking terrain - a wall, if you will. Now erase the wall only in the square the elevated figure occupies. If LoF passes through this "doorway", then you can hit the elevated figure from the ground. Otherwise you can't target the figure. So Thor would have LoF to Moonstone, becuase his LoF passes through the "doorway" albeit right at the corner. Hawkeye and Black Widow do not.
Okay. Zemo's down. Boomerang's down. Moonstone and Controller both have 2 action tokens. Leaves me with Yellowjacket, who will try to Incapacitate Thor. AV7 against DV14. She needs a 7. Attack roll is a 9. Thor gets a second action token and takes a click of damage from pushing.
Baron Zemo KO
Moonstone I21 (1 click)
Controller M22 (1 click)
Yellowjacket @ L22 (1 click)
Boomerang KO
Yellowjacket felt the Controller's influence fade away after Hawkeye's arrow hit him. She saw Zemo fall and Boomerang as well. Her first thought was to take her revenge on Controller, but she knew that would be little consolation in jail. Top priority was defeating these Ultimates, then she could address Controller. Thor's skin would be pretty well impervious to her stunning stings she knew, but she might just have a chance...
Shrinking back to insect size, she buzzed right into Thor's face and blasted him right in the eyes.
"ARRRGH!" he shouted, throwing his arm over his eyes. "I can't see!"
Yellowjacket flitted back out of reach, pretty well satisfied with herself.
