Are Super Rares still in the packs or not?

It sounds to me that they are still in the packs but just look like LE's instead of looking like SR's.

Super Rares are in packs but since nothing distinguishes them from LE's they are for all intents and purposes LE's in the packs.

So to make up for it, the tourneys are giving away tons of Galacti! Yeah Wizkids!

for fantastic forces, the only difference between LE's and SRs will be that one has a box and the other doesn't. The figures themselves will be indiscernable.

Too bad there are still SR's for Fantastic Forces. I was really hoping to pull several V Human Torch's and Mr. Fantastics. Oh well, guess I gotta wait until Icons to start pulling more dupes...

What they should have done (esp. at the beginning of the SR's) is have one set of SR's that you only get from the boosters and the LE's that you win at tournments be a different set of fig's that are not the same as the SR's (ex. say you could only get Human Torch as a LE and not as a SR and Lockjaw as a SR and not a LE). I believe it would make playing fun again and collecting fun too. Just my 2 cents.

Like you, I'm very dissappointed they're discontinuing the SRs. Many of the younger crowd were extremely excited to pull a piece they could never hope to win.

It helped drive down competitiveness, got the figs into people hands, and didn't diminish winning the prize itself. You could always say "I won this one." I pulled 2 SR Bruce Waynes, and won the Marqee. My LE Bruce Wayne stills mean a lot to me because I won him.

This is a stupid move on Wizkids part.

I actually like the idea of them pulling SR's. In order for the Super Rare idea to work I think they should have gone with characters that did not already have a corresponding LE.

Instead of an Alex Summers LE and SR sporting the same stats, why not give us a Alex Summers LE and a Vanisher Super Rare?...hmmm....not the best example, but you get what I mean....I shouldn't have used Mutant Mayhem as an example...seeing as most of them sucked.

Anyway, SR's and LE's being the same stats and sculpts as one another just never made sense to me.

I always found most of the LE's that I looked at to be dull. I think LE's as tournament prizes should be significantly better than the regular versions. That would improve their playability, and encourage tournament attendance.

I was disappointed to pull SR's from Mutant Mayhem and Icons. I would rather have had a unique from those sets. And the SR's that I pulled didn't sell for much money, so I couldn't really exchange them evenly for uniques. I felt jipped.

I have a question. I plan to attend the San Diego Comic Con next month. Will Galactus be on sale there?

I like having LE's available in the boosters. Up until a year ago, a dedicated player could usually accumulate a complete set of LE's just by attending tournaments. Now, however, it really isn't possible. If I won every DC tournament at my regular venue, it would only be 1 time each month I got an LE. Le's for Legacy 1st became available last month (except the Marquee), which would mean 6 Le's at most before ICONS hits.

No SR means I am more likly to spend my money on Evil-Bay for LE's than on Boosters.

What it does not answer if they are going to replace the SR slot with more Uniques so we still get a 'rare' figure one in four, or if we are going back to one in six?

Yes!! Exactly. If they pieces really would have been SUPER-RARE, instead of different "base ink"colored copies of LE's, I would have gotten into them SO much more...
