I've found that humor relieves the tension in a situation.
(Thinks back on some events in his life)
Hmmm.
Sometimes it exacerbates it too.
This whole BFC and feat card situation is an unenviable task. Regardless of who is right or wrong, or the subjective strength of anyone's opinion, the initial designer really could have cleared up a lot of this in the beginning. This kind of fallout over a handful of cards and all of our attempts to convince, cajole, and/or explain is flat-out ridiculous. IMO that a volunteer has to handle something of this magnitude post-production is unfortunate, but would have been better handled by the person paid to do it months ago.
WhizKids seems (and continues) to do many stupid things.
They need some help (to think clearly) it seems.
Rip It Up Feat Card:
Before a target character begins a move as part of a move, power, or free action, give it a light object token from outside of the game.
Prerequisites:
Super Strength
Question:
Does everybody on both sides grab an object whenever they move,
even if they don't want to?
I am not really sure why you asked this question in *this* particular thread, but... no, they do not. Feats are always optional. If you do not want to pick up a light object (maybe you are planning on grabbing a heavy one), then don't use the Feat.
I'd actually like to see a "Rules Arbiter Digest" for each week posted anywhere. It's difficult to follow some of the new rulings...and the search features (of both sites) do not really make things much easier.
You know, I've got to toss my 'This sucks.' out there, too. I am unable to get to the WizKids site from work because they've blocked anything with 'games' in the url, and I can't get there from home because of login issues (which is odd, since I can get anywhere else on the site).
So, now I guess I've just got SuperGENE's compiled rules to rely on ... assuming, of course, that he plans on sticking around for a while.
I like a lot of the things WizKids has done lately. I guess the Law of Averages dictates that they'd have to do something completely assinine (you know, like this) to make up for it ...

Well, after I read about this, I did some speculating on my own.
I can understand WK's position on this, as in the PR world, we would recommend that the company try to establish IT'S Web site as the official site for HC answers.
If people know that by coming here, you can get an official answer faster than on the official Web site, this place is better.
So it seems like this might be an attempt to bolster their own Web site and try to establish it as the "official" site.

For future reference, if any of you EVER own a website that you feel is in direct competition with another, please do the following:
Make your site better
Any other tactic just won't work, because it's the internet. People talk, and they're gonna all find out what an utter jackass you are being. This business of trying to get people to stop coming to this forum by removing the rules arb is absolutely retarded. And it doesn't work as well as they probably thought it would, BECAUSE I CAN'T GET IN THEIR ####ING FORUMS ANYWAYS!!!!!
That being said, a little bird told me something about what they had said to Hair10, and I'm proud of him for sticking to his guns as much as he did, regardless of losing out to being able to rules arb here. You don't treat volunteers like this, I don't care who you are.

You're not alone. Quite frankly, my theory on one of the reasons THIS site thrives so well is because THEIR site is so utterly inaccessible. I also can't access it at home OR at work.
Anyway, I'm done #####ing about this. I just can't stand to see bad form like this, it really gets under my skin.......
