All of us Envoys and player should bring this up on the WK forum.
I think this rule should be changed. If you have no figures left even if you have 3 times more points than your opponent you lose, period.
If your invading army kills all my civilians and all but 5 of my soldiers, but I kill every last one of your soldiers, you lose and I win, it is a Pyrrhic victory but a win nonetheless.
I may have to wait to post over there on Monday, I am leaving work as soon as I hit the post button.

I for one, will not bring it up. I like the current rule. It makes Sentinels very useful, for one (and I am a big Sentinel fan), and two it takes a lot of the meta-game out of gaming. Sure this is supposed to be a fun game, but it is also a game that takes some strategy; not a whole lot of strategy in "kill 'em all!" Knowing that you can win simply by keeping a stronger opponent at bay, while focusing your attacks at a weaker target, is a much more crafty style of play (and should be rewarded as such, in my eyes).
At least with this card, both teams have a shot at double points; not so with Vendetta.
Unless I missed something in the E&C or FAQ, (and if I did, please point it out to me) Vendetta does work both ways, at least as far as scoring is concerned. The +1 modifier however only applies to the figure assigned the feat.

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries....now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

Oh, that does work, true. But it is entirely at the whim of the Vendetta user who the AE pair will be. The Vendetta user could end up choosing an expesive support piece (like maybe Sue Storm) that isn't likely at all to see combat, much less be an appreciable threat to the Vendetta piece.
With Alpha Strike, you can pretty much pick whomever you want (as long as they have a TA).

Well, its already been pointed out in this thread, but I'd say Alpha Strike could be used the same way (especially in Constructed) by not having any figures with a TA, or at least not any that are worth going after, on your team. That also would dictate an unfavorable trade off for the player that didn't choose to play AS.
Still looks to be fun though, but that's just my take on it.

Now, I still think winning based solely on points is wrong. No matter how badly you beat me in points if I carry the field I should win? Does this make sense to anyone else or am I completely off my rocker?
Sorry, but your rocker is a little bit off. Not comepletely, but a bit.
When it comes to 3 or 4 player games, I (and I rarely used this word) HATE people who sit in the corner and turtle till the end - then come and wipe the board and win. My venue has.. lets call them "younger-than-me" people who don't understand you need to kill someone who is turtling or you will not be the last man standing. The Turtle-Person keeps pointing out that I attacked the "younger-than-me" people, so I need to die. The Turtle-Person just keeps saying he won't attack until "younger-than-me" people attack him. By doing so, Turtle-Person manipulates "younger than me"s into wearing everyone down and ensuring Turtle-Person the last-man-standing victory.
I think if you want to win, you need to get out there and kick some butt. True players never win by mercy-killing half-dead clix. True players get out there and unleash a can of butt-whooping. True players have Sportsmanship... not Manipulationship.
Although, even in a 1 on 1 match, it is really hard to sometimes get that last ping on your AE. You opponent can always make sure to run away and push to death so the last clix who shot him scores the points - not the AE on your team who you were holding back and waiting to finish him off.
Back to the topic and hand - Alpha Strike. Its not necessary a great thing. It can backfire soooo easily. You never know when he/she is going to bust out a SHIELD or HYDRA team. 20 points doubled isn't worth balderdash. So what if you have no team ability on your side of the field - I'm sure that his BFC is going to be very beneficial to his team, even though yours isn't worth anything now.
In Pre-release, there are going to be so many people with team abilities, its a really bad double-edged blade. Sure - he/she might have a Power Cosmic clix. But good luck killing that figure. And I'm sure you'll have a least one high costing figure with a team symbol for his Power Cosmic clix to smash.
