Here's one of my favorites..

2099 Hulk, merced to defenders, standing next to Namor for it to work, and making him a beast in the process. Set Dr. Strange next to them as well and enjoy his 19 with ESD.

Since I'm a Batman fan, I think Mercenary to Batman Ally on Frank Miller (That's what I call Green Gloves Bats) and the V Icons Batman would be more than appropriate.

Vet Red Tornado to either JLA or JSA, though JSA would be better because he has a high defense that he can share.

Icons' The Flash would be great as well, especially when you Merc him to Fantastic Four in a team that uses the ATA. (Would this work with an ATA though?)

Merc on R Mary M., R Black Adam and/or R Shazam!, utilizing the Mystic TA, is both thematic and effective. I like using LE Red Hood as a "cheap" Joker that has the option of siding with Batman Enemies or Injustice Leaguers.

I would merc him to Mystics, Vision and keep Mordru or Felix Faust next to him. I was thinking of Magicians and Summoned Creatures team but it only works in higher pt. games.

You'd have to do it with NGN Superman, though - there aren't a lot of Batman Allies who are more expensive than those two, and it would be odd to play the Legacy veteran just so that you could put Mercenary on the Icons vet.

Doesn't work. You can't use Mercenary to get an ATA.

Which Sentinel are you talking about? the original or new? Cause no Batman enemy is over 136 points so that would have to make it the original R Sentinel which I think makes its more trouble than its worth.

V Ct Doctor Octupus to Sin Sy. His 66 pts. should ensure he has someone to stand by.

He does work well! I played CT Doc with E Hydro-Man, Sinister E Electro, E Vulture (FF), R Doc Spectrum, starter Hobgoblin, and U Venom and only lost when I got Disbanded!

V Nebula at 76 pts. is also cheap enough and has decent stats to fit into most teams.

Also, V Umar has become my stand-in piece for Clea on my Defenders team!
