The 'Rule of 3' is applied only when modifying the values on a characters dial. Things like Perplex, RCE, CCE, and HSS specifically reference adding/subtracting from a figs printed value.
Using objects with Super Strength (with the exception of Meteorite) add to the damage dealt. Because there is no limit on the amount of damage which can be dealt you could theoretically do 9 damage with HSS option 2:
Base 1 damage value
+ 3 (max.) to damage value using HSS
+ 3 using Soda Machine on first attack
+ 1 crit hit
+ 1 knockback into wall
= 9
8 max. The knockback would be treated seperately. This is only relevent if the fig still had IMP/INV/Tough after taking the 8 damage. And it could be off a building for 2.
So you could have say a 2 damage Spidey have his Damage Value perplexed twice (+2 Dam Value), use Pounce (+1 Dam Value), while using Super Strength with the soda machine 3d object (+3 Damage Dealt) and score a criticle hit(+1 damage dealt) for a total of 9 damage dealt. Knockback and any damage from it, would be applied after the damage from the attack is resolved and is treated seperate from the initial damage (thus letting a fig that still has toughness/Inv/Imp after taking the attacks damage be uneffected by the knockback damage.

The bolded section there presents a problem with Pounce's prerequisite of a damage value of 1 or 2. The pounce bonus will bring his damage to three, and that's as high as he'll go with a pounce. After that you need an object or critical hit to raise the damage dealt, and then handle the knockback, if any, after that.

You don't have to be mad
to post here, but it helps
If doubles are rolled during any successful attack, knockback occurs only after damage from the power action is taken. Powers that allow a character to evade attacks are activated once after the power action resolves.
Knockback no longer stops a HSS option 2 attack.
So then this would mean buddyhoss was right and there is no limit to the number of critical hits that could be made with option 2.
So if one was able to succeed in attacking successfully repeatedly without crit missing, then the damage would be 4 (base 1 +3 for successful attacks), plus 1 for as many critical hits are made (with an infinite number possible), plus object damage if an object used?
Example: (I know the odds are against this (astronomically) but for rule clarification)
HSS Attack option 2 with no object.
Attacks 9 times first 8 are successful and result in crit hit. 9th is a miss.

You are correct sir. That'll teach me to be up posting at 2am. ok change the example to 3 perplex then instead of 2 perplex and pounce. The numbers still work. I just used pounce to show that the +3 to Damage Value could come from multiple sources.

Total damage dealt:
4 (for first 4 attacks) +8 (for 8 crits)
12 TOTAL
Thats right.
It is discussed more and confirmed as legit in this thread:
If you have new ultra damage ideas or tweaks to the ones there, incase there ar erules errors and such, post away man post away.
Also: "HSS 2 Infinite Damage" is one of my favorite Heroclix subjects. I love seeing people talk about it. I hope and sometimes think I was the first one to ask about it, or get it on text, but I probably am not.
