Pulse Wave ignores all powers, feats and team abilities within range.
Unstoppable is a power.
Ergo, Pulse Wave ignores Unstoppable (both parts, I assume...).
You so just made we want to draw a Ven diagram.
Every relationship is fundamentally a power struggle, and the individual in power is whoever likes the other person less.

I do not think pulse wave ignores Unstoppable any more than psychic blast or exploit weakness would. Pulse wave only ignores the power showing on the dial when you take the damage. Unstoppable activates when it appears on the dial, not when you take damage.
That said, this is the first of a new breed of special ability/power. I look forward to the rules treatise about the interaction between the powers.

I disagree. The latest FAQ changed the ruling on Pulse Wave:

Q: Can a character with Lazarus Pit, Fantastic Four, or Suicide Squad still use the feat or team ability when KOd by an opposing character using Pulse Wave? Since Pulse Wave ignores all powers, abilities, & feats, would the character still go to the Lazarus Pit or gain the benefit of the team ability?
A: No. From the beginning of the action in which the Pulse Wave is declared until the end of the action (which is after the token has been applied to the attacking character) any characters that are within the Pulse Wave blast are considered to have no powers, team abilities, or feats. They are still members of a team if they have a team symbol, but they do not have a team ability.
It does not mention Unstoppable, of course, but it still is very clear: During the entire duration of the Pulse Wave attack, all figures within range have no powers - in other words, Doomsday would NOT be Unstoppable if hit by a Nova Blast or single target Pulse Wave.

There are valid arguments on both sides, but i see it as such, and am introducing some new words to describe powers:
Pulse Wave bypasses ACTIVE defense powers as the character is assumed to have no powers or team abilities in the slot showing on the dial.
Unstoppable is different than any other power because it has an ACTIVE and a PASSIVE portion to the power. The Passive part activates when the power appears in the combat window. To The ACTIVE portion is that when unstoppable is already in the combat dial window, it acts like invulnerability.
You know, after reading the Pulse Wave ruling again, I might be wrong since it does state "until the end of the pulse wave action".

It's similar to Combat Reflexes, which does different things at different times. If damaged onto Combat Reflexes by Pulse Wave with Knockback, even if the character is knocked out of the attacker's half range, the character cannot use CR to avoid KB damage if it hits a wall since the power is gone until the end of the action.
I'm siding with Quebbster on this. (Needing to make up game terminology that didn't previously exist doesn't help your side of the argument, either.)
TRADES. eBay.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.

I've been wondering (like Nighthawk) about how pulse wave would affect unstoppable, but what you have quoted makes it pretty clear that PW ignores unstoppable even if Unstoppable is not on the dial at the time of the attack. Thanks!
And here I had thought the discussion was over. I should know better by now.
We don't need new terminology. At least not yet. Taking a cue from the FAQ (hunh, that can almost be a tongue-twister), Pulse Wave is in effect from the time you declare the action to the time that the action is resolved. Figs don't get to benefit from Lazurus Pit or Suicide Squad, because the KO's happen before the action is resolved. Likewise, Unstoppable wouldn't get a chance because Pulse Wave is still in play.
At least, I think that's how it should go. I guess a similar case would be this:
If a character is hit by PW and takes knockback into a wall, will damage reducers get rid of the knockback damage, or can they not be used since the character is still in PW range and the action has not yet been resolved?
Great Scott! I've been doing this for over 10 years?!
If a character is hit by PW and takes knockback into a wall, will damage reducers get rid of the knockback damage, or can they not be used since the character is still in PW range and the action has not yet been resolved?
Pulse Wave ignores powers for its own effects. It ignores powers, knockback is an incidental effect and I would rule that the powers work (PW does not cancel or counter a power, it ignores it)
Speaking of Unstoppable, if Doomsday is dealt 2 damage with Psychic Blast he on;y takes 2 damage and not however many it takes to reach his second Unstoppable click, right? Logic says yes, but I have a feeing some rules lawyers may try to exploit the fact that the way the power is worded can be interpreted that if Doomsday takes damage while on his first Unstoppable click, don't stop clicking until he's on his second one.

If so, a simple explanation of the English Language and the rulebook should suffice.
"I love man for all the potential that he holds, and hate men for how seldom they live up to it"
No matter what, we'll need a FAQ on this....I can easily see it going either way. No matter what, this is a BRAND NEW mechanic...so old rules don't apply so easy.

WHAT?
It says: Doomsday can use Invulnerability. When you turn Doomsday's combat dial as a result of him taking damage, stop turning the dial when Unstoppable appears in the stat slot.
It says nothing like that at all. Anyone with any brains at all can see that it means 'instead of continuing' not 'until you see this power again'
Are you one of these people that would insist that because the rules don't specifically say you cannot light your opponent's figures on fire, it is legal?
The only reason someone would possibly see this as an interpretation is that they ARE a sleazy rules lawyer that tries to pick the smallest nits against young children in order to crush the spirit of some 10 year old to get their weekly plastic crack fix
For the love of all that is good, WK: DO NOT FAQ THIS
The figure Doomsday can use the Defence power Invulnerability as if it was showing in the stat slot on the currently visible section of the sticker affixed to this figure’s dial bottom. This does not allow this character to use any feats assigned to this character that have the power Invulnerability as a prerequisite.
When the owning player is required to turn Doomsday's combat dial as a result of him taking damage dealt, damage taken, unavoidable or unpreventable damage, stop turning the dial when Unstoppable appears in the stat slot instead of continuing to click the dial the total amount of damage dealt, damage taken, unavoidable or unpreventable damage
Is this what people want? Rules so wordy and unwieldy as to suck all the fun out of the game?

No it shouldn't. It isn't really a new mechanic. It is a power. We've had powers since the beginning. Powers are ignored by Pulse Wave. Ergo, this would be ignored by Pulse Wave.
The reason that the FAQ is in there is because until recently, the rulings on Pulse Wave were not working the way game design wonted them to be working. Pulse Wave should have been ignoring everything. It was not. The ruling changed, so the FAQ is in there.
