I'm pretty sure that the Ravens didn't have the #1 Defense. Actually, I'm positive that they didn't.
I'm pretty sure that was awarded to the Patriots.
I would heavily disagree with anyone that awarded the #1 defense to anyone other than Baltimore.
That team literally has no offense, and their defense is on the field for what usually amounts to the entire game, and they still limit most opponents to a single touchdown or field goal.
Most other teams only play good defense if they run the ball a lot and have a high ToP.
New England would not be an exception to that.
Regardless, it is extremely surprising to see the Browns dismantle them like that. I'm looking forward to their game against New England.

lol I cant tell if your being sarcastic :P I love how anderson is lighting it up... quinn can sit there all season and study...
No sarcasm.
I'm quite impressed with the Browns this year. They definitely are going to have something to build on for next year. Between Jamal Lewis and Derek Anderson, they could spend time on improving their O-line, and defense, and be VERY competitive this year.
And I still say they might make it to the wildcards. With Tennessee suddenly without their #1 pick QB, and the other divisions having either a blowout, or a 3-3 battle, the Browns' biggest challenge is defeating Baltimore. And they're already 1-0 in that department. And convincingly so.

Anderson and the Browns have me hungering for the rematch against pittspuke. We are very much a different team now.
After watching Cleveland (sometimes) score a single touchdown a game last year, this year's offense has been so-oooo much fun to watch. It kinda makes me think of watching back in the day with Bernie, Web-star, Brennan, Langhorn, Newsome, Byner & Mack! :knockedou
Enjoy your rest this week guys; let's get Jamal Lewis back healthy and string a few wins together!

While I'll be among the first to say that Cleveland could very well be looking at a playoff spot this year, make no mistake, they're not a Super Bowl contender.
They're still lacking a lot of game rhythm, and they make a LOT of mistakes. Anderson is a fantastic QB, but he's averaging 2-3 picks a game. That will KILL YOU against a team like Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, or New England.
I think they need to take this as a building year, and I think they are. They could be ridiculous next year at this pace.

quoted for truth. I feel the same way you do; I was just saying that the Squeelers won't be facing the same team they did in week 1. I'd love to see a wildcard game for us this year realistically.

Hey, if the Browns can offer my boys some actual divisional competition this year, I'm all for it.
In any case, I'd really like to see Cleveland and Oakland as wildcards this year. I think if they both get their acts together, they could be very entertaining in the playoffs.

This is a belated congrats to the Browns. I think they've shown the league now that they're more than capable of taking down the big boys, if they need to. They had the Steelers, and they let them get away, but the experts aren't talking about that. Matter of fact, the Browns' ranking has skyrocketed since Sunday, because of how scary they were in that game.
As a Steelers fan, I was glad we won, but I was also glad the Browns got to show the world what they're made of.
I still predict that the Browns are going to be one of the top teams in the AFC when this is all over.

How good is Buffalo? I haven't seen them all season. Alot of people think that if we beat them we have a very good shot at the playoffs.
They're streaky. As a team. They were among the worst at the beginning of the season, and then someone peed in their cheerios during MNF against Dallas, and they almost beat them. After that game, they had a nice long winning streak. What's awesome is that there isn't anything that you can specifically point to as being the successful part of the team. They just play well as a team if someone pisses them off.
As far as matching up with Cleveland is concerned....well....that's really iffy. This'll be the best game all weekend, and I hope I get to watch it, actually. Cleveland definitely has the worst defense in the league, but they have the 4th highest scoring offense in the league, and they have a knack for outscoring their opponents. Buffalo's offense is terrible, which should offset that a little bit. "Experts" will likely be talking about how the Cleveland defense has "Stepped up" when Trent Edwards throws a pass directly to a linebacker. In any case, Buffalo's defense, while pretty good, is very vulnerable to excellent offenses. Case and point: Their games against New England. They'll get stomped by Anderson, if the Browns take them seriously. Which I think they will. A nice thing about being a cheap team like the Browns is that you take every game and every team seriously.
I see the Browns winning it, but it'll be a tough first half of football.
