Can A-Cho be given a power action to activate Outwit, be carried, and still be able to use it? You can always TK him onto elevated and give him a power action, but it seems like a waste otherwise. Just have a RS or Charging flier take him along for the ride.
You cannot carry someone and give him an action. So you cannot carry A-Cho and than use his SP.
I think this pog is very comic accurate. (If you check the comics, he uses his super intelligence to counter attack or attack someone. He could stop a tank with a Pebble!) If he had the Outwit Power, he would be too broken.
I would keep A-Cho behind and Outwit from afar and then block line of sight with someone else. OR, Try to compel him!
The way I interpret the text is, Cho can use outwit by taking a power action. In other words, Cho special power requires a power action to activate and is the same as Outwit.
I agree with that.
It's a terribly useful special power, but there are many limitations. You can't move Amadeus and Outwit something, you can't use Outwit on two consecutive turns (even if you're prepared to take the pushing damage, the Outwit will end when Amadeus is KOd), and you can't Outwit after being carried.
I'd always find room for Amadeus if I pulled him in sealed, but in constructed he can be dealt with easily enough.
I am not really impressed with Cho, I dont like pogs with white powers.
People have hounded me with the question"What do you want to be when you grow up?" And now I can successfully answer them. I wanna be...A Krogan Battle Master.

So you don't like Cho then since he'she only pog with a special power
Still, I ot to wonder why not? Do people not want to keep the cardboard for there pogs? (all mine are in a 3 ring binder in sleaves so i know exactly where they are) It's not any diffrent then keeping the cardboard for a special object
You'd be correct... that is, until you try to play R Black Panther in restricted... then Cho is... well, the cat's meow.
Fixed it.
Also, the teleport pad is a very useful Special Object. I used it with great effect to move slow pogs where they could help my Suicide Squad figures the fastest...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

I don't like him, because Pogs are supposed to be weak, and non game changing. Now with this pog with outwit, it is horribly game changing.

Someone said Norm has already said taking a Powr Action for its own sake (for Parasite) is perfectly legit. Basically, Cho cannot move or be carried and then Outwit. He has to Outwit on his own basically.

Because Amadeus Cho does not have outwit, and does not have any way of readily using it either, as his Special Power only allows Cho to use Outwit when he takes a Power Action. Currently, you cannot take a power action just for the sake of it, and he has no natural way to take one himself either. The Teleport Pad, however, requires you to take a Power Action to use it (as does the Forcefield generator), which means that Cho can teleport with the pad, and then use outwit after his move.
Actually Melk, I'm 75 percent positive that Norm rules you CAN take a power action just as a power action. So he doesn't NEED the teleporter. It just takes full advantage of his power.

The day we got a 1-point pog was the day that statement ceased to be true.

Very true. Pogs have always been game changing to one degree or another. Look at the Suicide Squad team ability and pogs pushing to death. Or the CSA combined with pogs that hav willpower. Or even Alicia Masters or the original Mary-Jane combined with the Alt FF. Pogs have always had an impact on the game
I dunno if its game-changing. I mean his Outwit isn't a free action. That is huge.
He can't move and then Outwit something. He can't be carried and then outwit something.
He has to wait for a turn and then use one of your alloted actions to use Outwit.
There will be times when he is useful but I don't expect to see him on the latest "cheese" threads...
100% agreed. Unless you've got leadership, a lot of free movers or a major tentpole team, I don't expect him to be much of an asset due to him requiring an action and therefore a means of transportation the round before he outwits. Your opponent could of course willingly place himself inside Chos outwit range but that would really mark him as quite the dumbass unless he's setting a "clever" outactioning trap.
Disclaimer: This is of course in a 300 points sealed/restricted environment and I've been wrong in predicting power levels/abusabilty before. I will probably fall victim to underestimating him
