I thought is was good that special powers couldn't have feats. It helped older figures or figures without special powers.
I think the biggest cards used might be Stunning Blow and Armor piercing. I know AP is already popular but characters who have EE as a special power couldn't use it as effectively.
What about Copsicle Special Power????
I don't think the Pushing damage caused by Incap. or Copcicles would get through Willpower or Indomitable based on Armor Piercing, if that's what you're asking... I don't think Push damage is dealt by the fig that caused the Push... I think Pushing damage doesn't really have a source, so to speak. It's a rule of the game. I am not sure.

Why couldnt they use it before?
Yeah, somebody sure cut through that fence alright....
I still think that Brilliant Tactician costs more than its worth. With the new 10% cap on feats, you also pay the opportunity cost of using up most of your feat allotment.
As if free action barrier wasn't bad enough!
Wow! Now we have Feat opportunity costs to consider! 10% cap added a whole new dimension to Feats, and I like it a lot!
I was thinking more about character like Balck Canary who has a special power granting EE and Incapacitate. Now she can use Stunning blow but before she couldn't

Edit: It does make her more useful. and on that note, both wonder girls from crisis, and the SR wonder woman from JL will get a nice boost

I would assume characters with Movement powers such as: Kid flash can use HSS, but only option 1, would be able to use Damage Shield. This makes dawnstar and kid flash even better.

This is the first change I can actually say bothers me -- Special Powers are great by themselves. The "can use" vs. "possess(es)" argument is simple common sense, as is "the power must appear on the dial." It encouraged Feating up your pre-Avengers pieces and kept the new stuff from being "the only choice to remain competitive."
Fie. I don't relish Darkseid and the Chief all Feated up ...
I love Takedown, and I know it could be played on Nightwing before, but it didn't work until later in his dial. Imagine Takedown now working on his top click.
Ohhh, you missed, take another token, push. So sorry. Next!

That was my first thought as well.... until I saw the 10% cap rule, meaning you don't have to worry about "feated up".
This is a great change. It's so much simpler to explain and remember, and anything that helps to simplify is a plus.
